The signs are unmistakable: the end is coming.

As the leader of the faith, you must prevent the apocalypse by identifying which of your followers is The Lamb, and offering them as a sacrifice.

Aiding you are three unknowable spirits; two of which will aid you, while one will seek to deceive. Using their clues, you must decide which of your creed will die.

Note: you can fast-forward the intro and ending sequences by holding space/enter.

Made with Godot v3.1 alpha 2.

Interesting take on the theme - kind of reminded me of a board game like Mysterium with the clues provided to work out the subject (or a really dark version of Guess Who? lol)

Would have been nice if you could make your selection directly from the 'board' of cultists, rather than a text only list of names, and maybe if you could see the spirits advice on that screen too, just to avoid going by memory (or screenshots ;) ).

Really solid compo entry that fits the theme well though.

Perfect atmosphere! The visuals, music and story work extremely well together. I can tell you put a lot of thought into this!

Great game! The presentation, the audio, the visuals are all excellent. Maybe having the option as mentioned above to select the name from the book would be cool, but that is only a minor complaint. Had fun playing it, and of course murdered the wrong person on the first try :-)

Great atmosphere, i got the setting and vibe straight of the bat, but the text animations was really slow. Got a bit impatient and just guessed… correctly! Played it again properly, but failed… lol. Should have had a classic reveal text/skip button or something. I also wish there where more practical ui elements to break up the waves of pure text like mrnyarlathotep mentioned. Great job overall though and on hitting the theme.

Good puzzle, very dependent on reading so it may be boring. Sounds are awesome!

Very atmospheric! I see we both went for the deep choir ambience. Whilst not skipping, it would be good to be able to speed up or complete the text a bit. Didn't solve the puzzle though. I'll keep trying though! Great work.

Super cool game! I noticed you can scroll on the text in the book of names and it messes up the text UI a bit. Love the graphics and atmosphere!

AMAZING! This game was scoped perfectly for the Compo. I can only assume most of the time was spent on Art and Sound and they were very well done. The music/chanting really set the mood and atmosphere of the game.

I was able to pick the correct Lamb and Lying Spirit

Thanks so much for all your comments, everyone. Really chuffed you're all enjoying it.

@koltzow @arkiruthis You can speed the text up in the intro/ending by holding the space bar/enter key. I just forgot to mention that anywhere. Whoops!

So moody. Really liked the backing choir and whole aesthetic.

Great atmosphere. The art and sound really feed into it. There's not a whole lot of game mechanics, but there are some good experiences that make the whole thing feel complete.

Great concept and atmosphere. The first time I tried, two of the spirits said the exact same thing, so I assumed the third one must be lying, but I was either wrong about that or I chose the wrong person... Then on the second try, I was certain I'd figured it out, but when I went to select my choices it never actually let me put them in and got stuck on the screen with the pool sadly. I did really like that the puzzle changed each time though, and the music fit perfectly.
