A poor, innocent single cell organism is being kept captive by a mad microbiologist. What insane experiments will it be subjected to? But lo! An opening in its containing flask! If it could just squeeze through, it could escape to safety*!

* Lab floor may be unsafe for microorganisms

Instructions

  • Escape the flask!
  • As a cell, you are soft and malleable. Squeeze through tight spaces!
  • Change form by consuming small nucleoli scattered about!
  • Use WASD or Arrow Keys to move, and F4 to reset a level!

There we go! WebGL build will be forthcoming within a day or two. For now, a well-deserved rest is in order, I think.

I like the squishy puzzle mechanic, I feel like this has a lot of potential for some really interesting puzzle designs. It would be interesting to add a few more state changes, or maybe some enemy microbes in the puzzles :)

very interesting mechanic, would love to see some more levels though.

Could have better aesthetics. Nice concept, more levels and mobile are a must. Some juice and polish and this can be a very neat mobile puzzle game! =)

Excellent work! I love how the natural state cell ripples and deforms. This especially helps the visual contrast with the rigid cell. I was not expecting the nucleoli to switch states when I grabbed one, but it made sense once I saw it happen. I also liked seeing the text appear to warn me when I tried to do something in the wrong form. I didn't need them, but it means that I probably could have figured this one out even without the help screen. Unfortunately, it was over in only a few levels. This seems like something that's worth developing further.

Cool idea, I liked the soft-body effect. Wish there was more of a challenge though!

Really nice mechanic! I think it's really cool that you accounted for the player's progress in the level to provide tips.

The feel of the blue cell is really nice as well. I think the game would feel nicer if the controls were just a little faster and less floaty. Your mechanic has a ton of puzzle mechanic. Great work!
