Shape-Shift by der_wisch

[raw]
made by der_wisch for LD35 (JAM)
Hello. My Name is Der_Wisch.

To play download and extract the zip and run ShapeShift.exe.

Some things to note before playing:
- This is my first time entering Ludum Dare.
- I started late (on monday) because of technical problems.
- The game contains flashing colours and I have no idea how that affects people with epilepsy.
- With that being said, have fun!

The game is called Shape-Shift (because I'm super creative at giving names) and all you need to do is matching
the shape of your character with the holes in the walls approaching you.

The walls spawn at faster and faster intervalls and you gain one health every 10 points.

Have fun! It took me a while to get into it.

Edit:
Forgot to mention it:
I haven't entered in the audio category because the music (as seen in the bottom left corner) is made by Snabish and the sound effects are CC-0 material found on OpenGameArt.org

When I'm done I'll attach a list of used resources to the download on itch.io

Not bad at all if you did this in a day. Maybe I should force myself to make a game in a day next jam session. It just needs some juiciness to really make it tick. Good job!

This is a game I'd compare with Super Hexagon (though maybe less vomit-inducing). Pretty good job on everything, especially considering you started late!

The game looks REALLY, REALLY well, plays really well, feels well, and sounds well. The whole game is really good except that I got frustrated with the controls because they were challenging, but I think that's what you were going for and it worked. Overall good game.

Pretty hard, I'd preferred seeing the shapes of the holes instead of the color.

Omgg, when I finished, I was seeing shapes in the air, I felt like I had used drugs haha

I love this kind of game that force your mental agility and about the short time that you developed it, I can say, you are a winner ^_^

Great job Der_Wisch

Nice polished feel to it and good twitch gameplay. Worth mentioning that this format seems to be popular for this theme and this is the 4th or 5th game like it. BUT this is one of the better implementations so well done :)
