Note

The game jam release is not well balanced (enemy waves spawn time, money, moving speed...) but we are working on a post jam (non evaluated) release more equilibrated (and with better graphics).

To do list

  • Balance difficulty
  • Add max population to final score
  • Add better buildings models
  • Add more intricated behaviors (links between two genre)
  • Add more enemy types
  • Add more projectiles types
  • Add attack patterns
  • Add player upgrades

Known issues

  • Aiming with mouse is not totally accurate

This is a great concept! I’m not a huge fan of the graphics though. Otherwise great execution too!

Pretty cool idea! The game lacks a goal though

Maybe I missed something, but apparently the controls are not listed in game? Not a big problem, but now I had to play in the windowed mode and keep the Ludum Dare page open.

Anyway, this game has a nice concept.

Really loved the work you put in here. The timer between each spawn is really long through. Makes the game really boring while waiting for things to happen. Some special effects when killing the ships would be a great addition as well.

@iaaac Thanks for your feedback!
As said, the ballancing has not be done so it is "normal" that it is so much time between waves.
Thats also something we cannot implement in times but will be in future post-jam release.

@iaac Thanks for your review. For the moment the game is not well balanced, but we're working on a post-jam version with improved graphics and gameplay.

Love the idea - The graphics need a lot of work, and I think the music did not fit. If this game was properly balanced and fleshed out its the type of thing I could se myself playing for hours. Nice job

I'm like th game. Controlls of the game are prity well. But I'm found this game, is to easy for me, just flying around and shoot the enemies, they don't attack often. Sometimes I'm see some enemyes what was looking on th ground after spawn. Music is awesome! Grade 5!

Good idea and the bullet hell is so funny. Maybe with the graphics more developed it can become a very good game.

Really nice idea and a great Jam game. It's good that you work on a postJam to fix all thoose tiny things mentioned before that can give your game an extra push to become really funny.

Nice work!

Great job guys! It would be nice to have enemies attacking houses and other facilities too so that you have to rebuild them.

Thanks all for your comments!
@IainWay Enemies targeting you in priority, but if you go away from your buildings and enemies passing close to them they will try to destroy it. But yes we have thinking about adding bomber ship, only focusing on destroying your city.

Fun game, I like it. The curved "physics" are really good. One thing I would like you to add is aiming around the planet, now it feels like the bullet doesn't go in the direction my mouse is pointing at.

Not bad. Right now, there's not a whole lot to do, and there doesn't seem to be a win condition, but there's certainly a solid foundation here.

The main criticism I have:
- It's really annoying to use the keyboard to build things. It's not so bad here, because the icons at the bottom remind you which buttons to push, but I think it's just something to avoid. Or, at the very least, I think an option to change the keys would be good.
- I think the graphics could be improved, but, of course, this is just a Jam game.

I do think that the whole planet mechanic is really cool, and I especially like the minimap in the bottom corner. Wrapping physics like that is difficult.

Thanks !!!
@pagi Yes the precision in really bad cause due to the spheral displacement.
@themonsterfromthedeep I think it is normal that there isn't an end to the game as the goal of a city builder is to build the bigger one and for the shm'up it's to kill a maximum of enemies but we have planned to add mini-objectives like "get 100 population", "kill 100 enemies", ...

Cool game, I enjoyed playing it. It reminds me a bit of an RTS. I didn't understand the point with the city building except to get health back.

There are a few things that could be improved to make the feel better to play. The hotkeys to build stuff is good but you should definitely be able to build with your mouse as well. The planet physics is impressive and you did that very nice.

Also I wish that the money dropped from enemies would have a bigger "pickup" radius so that you didn't have to fly directly on the pickups to get them.

Overall, pretty nice entry!

Nice game, the game needs a bit more balancing with the enemies and wavespawning. Also you can out range the enemies by quite a bit before they will shoot at you. All in all well done and good luck updating your game.

Thanks all !
@linus It is mainly the only one goal of the city builder part (with doing score). With a good balancing you cannot survive without heal.
@kaytrill Enemies will now going away from you if you are too far. Like that you have to be close to them and take risk to be dammaged.

This game was pretty fun. It took a while to get used to the aiming, as the perspective an camera angle obscures the direction of aim. There also wasn't any good indicator of how the power generators affect the numbers. The jam release definitely is not balanced, but the author is already addressing this. It's a great starting point, and should definitely be fleshed out. I would definitely buy a game like this.

This game deserves some polishing but the main idea is great!

I always loved game we can play around a planet, it's really interesting from a gameplay point of view.

I don't know if it's only on my computer, but I wasn't able to fire while moving...

Keep working on it, it could lead to a best seller in its genre !
