How to play

  • Use WASD or arrow keys to move
  • Press X to interact with a patient
  • Use the mouse to operate on your own parts by clicking and dragging within the red lines according to which body part the patient needs.
    • If done correctly, the limb will come off and you can click and drag it to the patient's missing body part.
    • Each body part you give up gives you 100 points.
  • Move to the door up north to spend your points and regain your body parts and blood (health represented by the red bar at the top).
  • The goal is to prevent your blood supply from completely draining.

Really fun concept, I really liked the graphics and the visual damage that my sprite would take on.
Good job!

A really solid entry with a big amount of work on the aesthetic. I liked the way you play the choosen theme - totally unusual and clever. Player animations are really well done - smooth and funny. Sometimes black humor is not always balancing in games, but you did. Thank you for this entry. I love my patients too :)

The game had a lot of good mood and animation. Hella music. The execution felt a bit weird? I couldnt really figure out why I kept failing, and the lines we're literally pixels deep. The "health for currency" was very thematically represented, but didn't really seem to play into the mechanics too much? It would've been interesting to trade away more then one body part at a time, or to have downsides for missing body parts. Loved the stylization tho, the doctor walking around without his kidneys had me giggling.

Hahahahaha i laughed when i saw my character running with blood, without arm and brain x) The theme is well respected and the animation are really smooth. Liked the little 8bit/16bit feeling on the music :)

The idea can be interesting but it need more incentive to give the player the will to do this over and over again, like some upgrade system or anything, but for a game jam it's really nice : )

Great job, everyone. Took a few tries to get the hang of surgery, but after a few attempts I was able to do armless and brainless surgery. Just like in real life.

Character design and animation was great, walking was surprisingly satisfying. Music was really good, felt like the right level of energy for the gameplay. Does the music change as you reach certain thresholds, or was that just my imagination?

Music was great, I enjoyed the retro graphics.

I couldn't figure out how to play the game after four tries, reading the instructions, and checking the comments. I feel like I'm kind of missing out :(

@arcana Sorry you weren't able to figure it out :( Basically, you go up to a patient, and if they have a surgery they need, you can press x to go into the surgery minigame. In the minigame, you'll see they're missing a particular body part. You drag your mouse across the red line slowly on the corresponding body part on the doctor's body. Then a sprite for the body part will appear and you can move it to the area where the patient is missing a body part. The youtube video up at the top should show an example of RSK doing it. Thanks for playing our game!

Lol, great. Yeah the surgery part needs a bit of visual feedback, lest players become pretty confused about what they're doing wrong -- needed to watch the video before I understand what I was supposed to do.

Of course I failed on the brain transplant...which makes sense

Great look and feel, music is very nice and everything is fine, except the goal. The game really need some goal to complete and win =)

Funny game! I just needed several tries to get that I need to cut the organs with the tip of the knife.
At one moment I was stuck in the game because the patients wasn't asking for organs, or if they did, I couldn't access to the surgery mini games by pressing X key, even If I had the organs.
Anyway, good game and great work overall!

Cool idea for the theme, It's pretty hard to play since I kept failing some operations despite going really slow and steady. Maybe some feedback on how the operation is going or some zoom. Great work, the graphics are top notch, and the humor too! Loved the mug haha.
