I enjoyed playing the game, it had really fun, floaty physics that made it fun to just bounce around like I was on the moon. Though if I were to give some criticism, it would be to make the walls that you bounce on a bit more noticable (as it tended to blend in with the city buildings) and to make it a tad easier (I found the game rather difficult). Thats all.

A little edgy for my taste but overall good game, had a major bug at the end and crashed, a shame.

A few typos here and there, but its ok. Gameplay wise, it appears that once you run out of purple energy, there's no way to get more since you need to kill using an attack that consumes energy to get more. But the penalty of death is just restarting the level which isn't that long, so its not that bad. Not very long but its Ludum Dare, and its hard to make a lot of content in a short time. Edgy but its an ok game.

Overall a quite fun game! I did however, find it falling into almost all of the platforming game tropes, and ultimatly, this one lacked originality. Whilst the story was a refreshing change, the actual platforming and enemy killing feels rather standard. Originality can be tough, but even small innovations (a new super power or item) can severely improve the final quality of the game.

Whilst the game idea sounds like it has a lot of sacrifice in it, the theme isn't truly evident in the gameplay, as we ultimately don't see what the brother's fate is (but I would have certainly loved to). An important part of any sacrifice is the consequences that it imposes, and unfortunately this element was barely explored, likely due to time constraints (completely understandable, but I shall critique never-the-less).

I quite enjoyed the soundtrack and occasional sound effect, but I would recommend adding additional sounds for important events such as shooting (both enemies and player), taking damage and environmental sounds. These can really help with the mood of the game, creating atmosphere that makes it feel alive.

I honestly really enjoyed the story elements and I think it provided a deeper connection with the characters that many other games fail or don't attempt to achieve. In many ways, it personalised the experience, and put the player in touch with the character. This can be hard to pull off, so pat on the back to you! I also really liked the art style, and I'm impressed with all the work that you creators put into it, with two different scenes requiring detailing and the sort. Overall great game, with some certain room for expansion.

Hi @justcamh thank you for your feedback on music and sound. I did make the additional sounds you mentioned in your comment, but we had a few problems when we implemented them so we decided to leave them out for the time being in order to release the game and meet the Jam's deadline.

Really great game, i liked the art, cutscenes and the controls really makes the game flow. But thing that i think you could improve is the scenario. Is really difficult to see where the platforms are, maybe use some colors or details like borders could make us to notice what is platform and what isn't more easily. And the music from gameplay is great but has a really short loop, could make more variations on it. (i loved the Death Cutscene music)

Oh, the story at the beginning was so engaging that from the start I've got the biggest expectations in the world!

I think level design make a game very hard to play, because at the first glance I have no clue on which platform I can stand on and which I can't. It seems pretty confusing. I think you should more effort in harmonizing colors and feel & look next time.

Still keep developing and making games!
