Also can't get this running on windows either. It is missing a whole bunch of love dll files.

Apologies to those who had missing DLL errors in Windows. I uploaded a .zip file that includes the DLL files as well as the Windows executable (nk-ld41-windows.zip):

I could get it to run, so it worked for me (win10). The idea is interesting, but I had trouble with the controls. It was just too difficult to select the right row for the number, it went all over the screen. Otherwise, nice game!

The left and right movement speeds are insanely fast. It's almost impossible to stack things on purpose. My guess is that maybe used frame-based movement instead of multiplying movement speed by deltatime, because my computer is pretty beefy and monitor runs at 100 Hz. Also, pressing up bluescreens the game :skull_crossbones:

Interesting idea, but I'm having a bit of trouble grasping the strategy. I was eventually able to beat it, but that was a much learning the pattern on each level rather than figuring out the general approach.

ie does 0 always involve just eating a point? Same with a column with a 9 in it - can anything go on top of that without losing a point?

It would be really cool if adjacent columns could combine to be used as multiple-digit numbers, and that would make the game play a lot deeper.

@rjhelms thanks for the feedback. In an earlier version of the game zero was a wildcard, i.e. you could stack it on any number without losing points. But then I got involved in experimenting with the rules, and before I knew it I was knee-deep in bugs (and as batmanasb pointed out some bugs are still there). So one thing that should be fixed is to find a role for zero and nine.

In my first sketches of the game I had something like your adjacent columns idea in mind, but I spent too much time near the end just getting the vertical numbers to work without game-stopping bugs. I agree it would make the game a lot more interesting.

Interesting idea. The first level you can beat just by touching nothing. 2nd is harder. Zeroes are unexpectedly difficult to deal with. Controls were a little hard - moves were too big sometimes compared to keypress. But nice work - good creativity.

I wish there were a Linux version. :(

Nice concept. There is a couple small bigs that could be fixed but otherwise you did a nice job!

Cool concept, hard to accomplish the 3rd level.
Would have be nice to not drop back to level 1 after failure, and often it is hard to just move 1 space to left or right.

But it was fun to play, easy to understand, hard to master. Nice entry!

i had the same problems that batmanasb had and could not play your game, so i will not rate it.

@jaime-paz-lopes I just uploaded a new version that fixes the arrow-key bugs (I hope) that were found by batmanasb and Jaime Paz Lopes.

Hopefully this works in Linux for those of you who have LÖVE installed and a way to compile main.lua. Unfortunately I have no way of testing in Linux (not that I don't prefer Linux, it's just a matter of expediency this time around).

Way too difficult for me. It moved so quickly I didn't have time to think!

Ah, I didn't realize you could win by stacking everything. I tried getting a few stacks going but for some reason I ran out of chances and didn't realize I had a limit on chances. I guess I don't know how to play. Interesting idea, though, so perhaps clarifying how to win or lose would be a good next step.

Quite an interesting idea, but i think it's more like Tetris+Math, not Action Math. Wish there was an endless mode, where you can get some points back when you reach the border line.

I can see this being fun, but as it is, you can just down arrow thru practically the whole game. Play some more with the level design, have some more flashy effects and something visually interesting. Also feel that the first drop shouldn't lose you a point, but hey. You have a solid idea here, and with better execution of things around the core mechanics, I think this has potential. Keep working at it!

EDIT: I played this on stream and provide extensive feedback there, please go and have a look! [Twitch Stream](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/256065115?t=00h20m00s)

I really like this concept! Nothing to add to other people's commentary on the mechanics really, there's room for improvement but the idea is solid and I'd definitely play more of it with the rough jam edges sanded off. :)
