Snek by dylanbr

Overview

A technical challenge to make a clone of a game about a danger noodle with an insatiable hunger.

  1. The protagonist of our game is running out of space in it's crazed quest to eat more blocks.
  2. Lines of code capped at 100, columns capped at 132, and the code should still be (kinda) readable. So I'll be running out of space at each step.

Controls

left turn anticlockwise

right turn clockwise

Rules

green bigger

red dead

Oh i like the game about danger noodles. But be careful! Sneks eat snaks and sometimes they wear hatsXD Simple game. Bit confusing playing it with 2 buttons and rotation. But i guess we saw both the same videoXD

My snek did a slither into the red dead :P

This game is just snake, in all seriousness. Nothing too original.

A classic! I definitely wasn't use to playing it with only left and right keys! But perhaps I am spoilt.

Well done!

I really like how you did the controls! It was an interesting twist on this classic game. Nice job :)

The last time I got good at snek was on a cellphone with only one input... found myself nearly exclusively turning left lol (and crushing it!)

Well i guess we all know what inspired this creation. Anyways, controls are a little bit weird and i missed a score as well as a start/gameover screen. And a few sounds, maybe some music.

Interesting take on snake! a scoreboard and a restart button wouldn't hurt!

I certainly have to appreciate the meta-application of the theme. Kudos on pulling it off even if the game itself doesn't score very high on innovation.
