Gets stuck in downloading dictionary

I can't spell X)

It was an interesting concept. I liked the graphics and the camera wobble was a nice touch. However I would have liked the player to face in the direction of my click when I want to shoot instead having to do a weird run up thing to get into the right direction. Perhaps a time limit or something that would add some urgency.

It works, I can spell! Sometimes the zombies don't want to separate so I can kill them, lazy zombies!
It has potential! its so hard not to just lay waste to all the zombies with my shotgun though, haha. maybe there can be ones with the letters and they tend to run away and then others with no letters run towards me so I can get my zombie-blasting kicks! haha good job

i really liked the music, but unfortunately i couldn't play due to typing not working on a mac, did you check the mac compatibility?

@Dioinecail You need to shoot the zombie(s) that spell the word instead of typing it! Typing was a thought at first, but pivoted a bit :) Please let me know if you have any further issues.

Good concept! It's a shame it doesn't have more stakes, it would be rad if there was actual danger and/or challenge;
I wish the aiming was precise too, it felt wrong to explode 8+ nearby zombies with a single shot

This is a great entry for the compo! As other commenters are saying it would be great to see yourself having to survive the onslaught of the zombies rather than them just being walking letters! Personally my favourite part of the game was the slow pan-out of the camera as the words got more complicated. A really nice touch! Good job, keep making games!

Nice idea, well executed! I especially like the camera movement and movement tweening.

Tip: make it more challenging by making the zombies attack you. (The player does not have a need to run away in the current version of the game.)

Bug report: when I started the Windows build for the first few times, it got stuck before/after downloading the dictionary (I ran it inside Sandboxie and offline at first). When I ran in in the "normal" environment, it worked well. :slight_smile:

The voxel style is very nice, although some backgrounds would have been better for visuals

The idea and theme of this game fits perfectly! It's very creative too!!

Not an uninteresting concept, but I find the pace to be so slow. It also gets weird when you shoot several letters at once.
I like how as the game progresses, more letters are added (I mean, I know they're zombies, but their design doesn't reflect on that too much, so I just call them letters)

Moving with the mouse is so strange. Why not arrow keys/wasd?

Also, sometimes, the zoom doesn't let you see much letters on the edges because they are in that motion blur thing
