Where am i? by RobertoHigor

[raw]
made by RobertoHigor for LD 41 (JAM)

Well, it was our first time trying to make a game using gamemaker. Unfortunately we had schedule problemas and the gamemaker servers was not working, so i couldnt use the free gamemaker 2 version and i couldnt update my professional edition of the 1.4 version and had to use teamviewer to program. After this project, We are going to use Unity because these problems mentioned above really messed up our project.

Hopefully you guys do better with Unity next time, but this is a good way to find out just which engine works best for you!

Well it's a short game so... I would say don't quit developing! If you like to develop games and have fun doing so than don't quit ! It's not important, if the first games become good or not. The thing that matters is that you learn. This whole Jam is only about trying something out. I didn't see much of the game, but I think you wanted to make a game and the fact that you worked on it is respectable and shouldn't be underestimated. Like you already said, you now know, that you don't want to use Game Maker 2 and wan't to try out Unity. That's nice do so. The only advise I can give you is to prepare a few days before the jam (I don't know when the free Game Maker 2 Version was published). I hope you don't quit developing. And I hope your next project won't get these problems.

I would suzggest posting a version that does not need a setup routine for next jam.

Too bad you weren't able to complete your game :(
