I thought it was a beautiful puzzle game, but wow that last puzzle seems very hard! I loved the music and the sound for moving puzzle pieces was very satisfying. Unfortunately I didn't get to see the ending :(

Really beautiful game! Nice music and design. One thing was hard for me to understand that i can walk left and right outside the screen. Some feedback for that like little arrows or something will help.

Love the art style and the point and click was well implemented.

The 3x3 puzzle upped the difficulty quite a bit.

I think the artwork help explain the story without words.

A job well done.

My 5 stars for the mood. Graphics and Audio are awesome and contribute to it. I really felt immerged in a very particular world, with a great story telling, while focusing on the clever puzzles.
The theme feels a bit off tho, but it doesn't matter at this point :)

Very well done, it gave me chills!

Amazing art direction! Gameplay is a little bit straigtforward, but the dreamy mood and music just hit the spot. The story progression was tragic and reminded me of Sword & Sworcery: EP, so all in all this game just kinda blew me away, very impressive!

I thought this game was really well polished and it seems like your team managed to finished what you set out to do, so +1 for that! Really like the artwork too. I just wish I was better at the puzzles because I had to give up on the (seemingly) last one.

This game has definitely got me interested... amazing mood of the game... feels very emotional... I am not even going to start talking about the mechanics or graphics since they are amazing (even tho a bit repetitive but that's fine for the length of gameplay)... just amazing... thank you!

This game is soooooooo beautiful ! short puzzle are pretty cool (but a bit repetitive :s) and music is very relaxing.

But something is wrong : how the game is related to the theme ?

That was amazing, graphics are beautiful and the music is fantastic. The game play is simple, but that works well for me for such a game that is more like an experience or narrative based. Really, the music is something i'd listen to outside of playing the game, which is extremely rare on game jam games for me. Played thorugh, Fantastic!

edit for response to the question below: I totally see the realtion to the theme - the nearer you get to "reviving" your lady flame, the weaker you yourself get. On a narrative level, the theme is well met. On the gameplay level not so much. But as i said, for me the gameplay is not the most important part of this game, so it also does not need to transport the theme that much.

Some people do not see that the game corresponds to a given theme. And what do you think? There are thoughts, what does it correspond to? :)

We are wondering if many see what we planned to bring there.

Lovely game! Really interesting how those small differences in the walk animation could change how you feel. And so nice visual communication. Really liked the combination of the style of pixel art with that of paintings. Effective music. Just the right game length. 5/5

I see how the more pieces you have in the puzzles, the harder it is, and that the more orbs you have unlocked, the harder it is for the player character, but I didn't quite understand why the orbs had that effect?

Also, in fullscreen mode, there was a very visible vsync issue whenever the player was walking.

Wow, top entry, great game! Visuals, audio, music, puzzles, everything is too perfect! The last puzzle made me think for some time, it felt like a good challenge. On the other hand I don't think it fits the theme very well.
Definitely My favourite so far! Great job!!!

Stunning art and very atmospheric sound. Puzzles reminded me of how much trouble I have with Rubix Cubes. I'm glad it didn't get over 3x3. Gameplay wise, navigating between the screens felt painfully slow, which reinforced the mood, but there might be other ways to accomplish that (e.g. off the top of my head, a closeup montage of crawling / stumbling). I didn't really feel a tight connection to the theme, but overall, really wonderful work.

Really, really beautiful little puzzle game. The only thing I wish is that you could move left and right with the arrow keys or AWSD, just because it was hard for me not to accidentally click out of the game. But gosh, that was a beautiful experience. Stunning visuals, lovely SFX and fun little puzzles. Fantastic submission!!

Not surprised someone else brought up Rubik's cubes, it's what came to mind for me too. You start to find the right layout, then you have to mess it up to get the other pieces in place, and then you feel a looming sense of doom. Or at least i did.

Absolutely gorgeous art and sound design. Excellent work.

Hi there! It looks like you've used 3rd party music assets in your entry. **Please OPT-OUT of the audio category in accordance with the rules.**

From the rules page at https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/rules:

> **You’re free to use 3rd party Artwork/Music/Audio assets, or assets you previously created, but we ask that you OPT-OUT of the respected voting categories (Graphics, Audio).** You can opt-out of a voting category when you submit your game.

That aside, this is a pretty well-done experience overall, though a bit simplistic. I haven't done this sort of puzzle before so it was pretty fun figuring the mechanics of the 3x3 grid out, but all of the 3x3 grids were basically the same puzzle with no variation. Yes, you changed the layout of the arrows slightly, but for each puzzle there was at least one arrow for each row and column. (it doesn't matter what side the arrows are because shifting 1 to the left is equivalent to shifting 2 to the right) I guess that's not immediately obvious to everyone, but I think it would be interesting to have at least one puzzle where there is a row or column without any arrows at all.

The narrative was fine, if a tad bit cliche, but the visual style you've created with the watercolor-like textures and abstract shapes really sells the whole package.

Man, I really liked those puzzles! The art and mood was really well done too, although I don't think it really fit the logical side of the puzzles. nevertheless, lots of stars to you

@DDRKirbyISQ, oooh, we missed this part! Thank you! We just opted out from Audio category.

As for puzzles, we actually had a few variations with no arrows in some rows for 4x4, 5x5 and 6x6 layout. But they came out very very hard to solve.
And at the very end, we were rushing out to simplify those puzzles down to 3x3 grid, which has lost a bit of variety.

WOW this as a jam game blew my mind. Really beautiful artwork. The puzzles are great; despite being simple, they are very interesting. I do agree that they are a bit repetitive, but they are probably better off kept this way than being turned into 4x4 or 5x5 grids which would be WAYYYY worse. The pacing of this game is very well executed, especially the ending (it literally gave me goose bumps). GREAT GREAT GAME!

This game gave me chills. At the end the story felt complete and I needed no more. You told it beautifully. The artwork is obviously amazing. The puzzles gave me a hard time, but I was able to get through them. The audio did so much for the atmosphere. Thank you for this. It was short but had a huge impact. I like the fact that you left the ending screen hanging there indefinitely. A hidden gem among the LD games. Great job!
