Very interesting way to use the theme. And it's very rare to see a game with a strong message like this during a game jam! Thanks a lot for this game! Hope you'll have more votes in the next days!

That intro cinematic was soo adorable! Amazing!
I was not shure how everything was connected. Was missing some feedback when I used the sliders.
Maybe I was to impatient and had to wait longer to see the effects.
It was a nice idea that fit the theme really good. I just would've likes some more feedback of my actions and maybe some bigger fonts.

Nice idea, and a good way to use the theme. I like being able to see the effects of where my money was going. I do wish it was longer and showed more impact of your budgeting on the animals.

@lyxil thanks a lot for your comment ! We're still beginners, and even though my graphist friend already has done a few games, it's the first time I programm a whole game by myself, so there's still a lot of stuff we would have liked to add, but sadly I wasn't skilled enough. I'm happy you like it though !

@tannimun thank you very much for telling how you felt about the game ! Adding some feedback is a good idea, I wanted to add some on the sliders but I wasn't sure how to do that, although I do have some ideas now. About the fonts... Yes, it's true. The game was meant to be played in fullscreen mode in the beginning, so I guess it tends to be too small !

Very cute game! I found two small bugs (?) that you may fix pretty easy. I saw that sometimes the the pixel font is not used, but a normal font. Also, the four sliders don't have the same width. And about the gameplay, I thought that when it displayed the share button the game ended, so I... closed the window. Maybe you should to something about it? Also, I didn't click at first (when I closed the game) on the share button to see what it does because I thought it would share it to Twitter. I like the graphics and their pixelly look, but it took me a while to read what's written on the "start" button. :)

Strong and clear message, feedback about whats gonna happen after/while sliding would be nice. Also I would like to throw some ideas that might be interesting:

- Make events, where the player has to use money to prepare it but it has the chance of giving you more money and maybe a bonus on people adopting pets.
- Upgrade cage count, veterinarian effectiness, voluntier recruitment rate.
- Add cats!

@luca1152 Thanks for your feedback ! Yes, maybe some more explanations may have been great, I agree with you. I hadn't enough time to add everything we wanted though. Can you recall where you saw a normal font instead of a pixel font ? I may have screwed this up lol

@josehzz Thanks for your comment ! I agree with you, some events could be really cool. At the beginning, we also wanted to add some kind of a shop where you could have chose the size of your cages, but, yeah, it was hard to include ahaha. @akuirako Using Chrome, but I am not sure it matters. My guess is that maybe you don't load the fonts in time? Not sure :)

@luca1152 Actually, while playing on Firefox, it does show the right font... So I don't really know what the problem is ;/

Interesting game. I was little confused at first about sharing on social media. I didn't realize it was part of the game and reloaded thinking the game had crashed. Once I figured it out, I had fun. Good job

The salubrity metric and randomization were a bit confusing. It was difficult at times to figure out exactly why some action was having a particular effect. I did really like the extra facts in between scenes, though, a nice touch! :smiley_cat:

@ocekat3 Thanks a lot for your comment. My friend @raphlula is a bit more experimented than me so he knew how to work and where to put the priorities. I for myself am a student in game, starting my second year soon !

@astralore Yes, I guess the algorithms weren't so good. It was one of the most troublesome part of the game jam ahaha. I think if we had enough time, we could have done something better. Thanks a lot !

The best part of the art was the "loading screen", but the rest of the art wasn't very engaging. The dogs were just a number, so the whole idea of being worried about them living an dying went off board for me. The social media part didn't make much sense for me either.
I think you came up with something that could have evoked a lot of feelings in the player but didn't implement it properly.

It's too bad there's not more pixelart because the key screen and the end screen are gorgeous. That's some really interesting take on the theme, especially the part where you have to decide how many dos to take down. Makes you realize the harsh decisions that the shelters have to make. The game could be more fun but I guess that's not the point with such a strong message.

Very interesting game. I loved the artworks you made for it.
Learning while playing is a good thing, and I was really was sad at the end of the game. The mood coming from the whole ambient is really well done.

I agree with Ja_viera according to the fact dogs are just a number. It might have been great to have a visual feedback of what your shelter looks like and choose what to buy in order to make it more reliable.

Hello everyone, I'm just rising back from the dead ! Thank you so much for so many kind comments, I'm taking all of them in consideration (and I think my friend Aku does too !).

Maybe one day we'll take some time to make a big update on the game and increase some of the parameters you guys pointed out. I do agree dogs can be just seen as numbers, easing the act of killing them (thats how my best friend did a perfect on first try before my eyes ahah). That would be something to work about.

I'm glad most of you liked the graphics ! For those who think they can be improved, I'd love to hear how ! This is my first pixel art game, I mainly did vector art games until then, so I still have a lot to learn.
