Redesign your webshop live in order to make your users happy with cat pictures. Once they are happy, make sure they find the buy button so you can cash in. But with success comes more users. How long can you sustain?

How to play?

Drag page elements from the right to the browser window to place them on your website. You can drag placed elements to move them. Make users happy by providing users with content of the same color as the user. Then make sure they visit the buy-button to cash in. See also the ?-button in-game for more help and hints.

Use Chrome or Firefox

I have tested and confirmed that the game works on latest Chrome and Firefox. I also tested on Edge, but it doesn't work there, probably because I used CSS Grid for layout.

Hahaha quite clever! Says a bit of the industry :)

Nice concept, i wish the drag and drop would be smooth, it's a little clanky right now, but the idea is very cool :)

Clever idea. I had some problems with the drag-and-drop (selecting text instead of dragging the block) but overall funny idea.

Very fun to play. Funny idea and a decent implementation. A good take on optimization and UA culture in general, how much pandering it is. Maybe a bit lacking of features for a direct implementation, but might be a good basis for a web development/marketing game idea.

What he said ^. Concept of luring in customers with cat pics is very funny. The GUI design is great. When I hit the refresh button hoping to restart, I was delighted to see it worked the way I expected. Drag and drop is smooth, etc. Nice job.

I'm glad you liked it and it was not too hard to figure out how to play the game. I was a bit short in time and by biggest fear was that I had not had enough time to ensure there is enough feedback on your actions. Also I agree that there are some issues with drag-n-drop that would need more care. Currently it drops to the cell where your mouse pointer is, but actual visual feedback like a ghost placement would help I think.

I loved the cat pic element, but I wasn't able to get anyone to click on the Buy button. I tried deleting stuff by dragging it off the page but I guess that wasn't allowed? A very interesting idee. The little pointers moving about the page was a neat way to visualize visitors. That in and of itself could be improved to make something really cool. Nice work.

Users need to be happy (high opacity) in order to click on the buy button. Provide them with a picture of the same color as the cursor in order to make them happy and then move the buy button so they click on it. Users lose happyness when they reach a picture of the wrong color or read a paragraph of text.

In my mind I would like them to have some better visual indication and/or sound effect when they get bored other than opacity. So yes there is room for improvement. :-)

That's a great concept you have there! It became a lot more difficult with lots of cursors, but mainly because I couldn't see them. Have you tried different sizes? I think even with the opacity, if they were a little bit larger it would facilitate to identify them.

Great job nonetheless!

I came back to try this game again so I would have time to leave detailed feedback and not just rate, but it is now not working in my browser :(

Here's what I remember from last time I played:

It was pretty confusing to begin with, but as I progressed I began to understand how the game works. It was creative and innovative, really something different than the norm.

I would like a better indication of when the people are becoming bored as it seems to be pretty hard to tell.

Overall, great game!

Thank you for coming back and giving quality feedback. I do agree that the feedback to players is still not good enough and is what I would have worked on if I had more time during the weekend to work on LD.

I found that the game works on new versions of Firefox and Chrome. On Edge the layout collapses, probably because I used CSS Grid which is a rather new CSS feature. I don't have a Mac so I haven't made any testing on that - only Windows. Safari have no Windows version so I haven't tested on it.

Interesting idea! I found it sort of har to figure out the best way to play it, and my rate of success felt just like luck. The idea is cool though, and I would love to see it developed further! All in all a job well done :)

This is a fresh idea, although not super intuitive at first. Fun to play, nevertheless.

Really unique concept and a clever execution, making it in HTML/JS. The UI is clear and the game's drag-and-drop functionality feels very nice. My favorite part is the flashing red screen when you lose. Best I could do was 3, though, as I couldn't really figure out how to get the cursors to click on Buy. Some better instructions might help other people learn how to play.

The concept actually works, as the game got me engaged :) It may be a bit too hard, though, as I did my absolute best and only got 7 points. Maybe all is needed is a bit more space to maneuver. I don't have any other comments about the mechanics. They are good, and the game could be extended from them if you wanted.

I'm not really sure about the take on the theme. Sure, the game is more difficult with more users, but that's kind of "standard".

A little more description and a fluid drag and drop would've helped. But thank you for your submission!
