Second LD

I didn't hear any sound, should there be? (Otherwise you could've disabled Audio rankings) Nice idea, a bit confusing though. Maybe a little tutorial would've been nice what you need to do, cause all my humans died and now I have no brains to eat T_T

"You picked up revolting human food" Haha. Took me a while to work out when I could harvest the fields, but I do like the notion of somesort of zombie farming simulator.

What did you enjoy most while making this game?

Yeah, I wish I had more time and I would have put in a guide/basic tutorial

This was pretty hard to figure out how to play. A lot of backtracking between the shed and the fields. I interaction system was nice and I like the witty comment about picking human food, and who needs food anyway when your zombies die. Made me chuckle. A lot of cool tech here, I'm sure more time would have helped 'flesh' out the flow more. Keep up the great work!

Maybe the graphics aren't particularly beautiful, but the game idea is wonderful. I mean, how someone could not like a game where you can press 2 to eat a human!

A short tutorial screen could be nice, though.

Wow those tasty humans die fast. I even had them die right after I fed them. Maybe there actually was some mold involved after all. :D
I'd make the game a little bit less hard or hectic maybe. Other than that, nice idea and I really enjoy the black-ish humor involved.

Really innovative concept - had some difficulty keeping my humans alive, but great idea!

My first play can be summarized as "Oups I ate my humans". :smirk:
My second play was way better! Nice little game!

Cool game, but I think it is more a farming simulation/zombie than a rpg/zombie x) Cool overall game, keep coding :)

Graphics arent really beautiful and there is no sound but i like the game concept :v:

Im am not a good zombie, could not keep my hoomans alive. I really missed sound of any kind. For the rest cool concept.

Who needs humans? I ate them all. And then they starved. again and again. But I tried and tried. It's a hard game. But it has funny texts. good controls. There was no Sound, should there be sound?

I liked exploring the map and seeing what I could do. Once I finally realized what was going on, I knew I utterly screwed up :smile:

@gamedevbynight Thanks for playing! It definitely needed balancing as it is a bit too difficult to keep them alive. There isn't sound unfortunately, I didn't get round to it, and forgot to opt out

The humans kept starving to death before my first plants grew, not sure if I missed something there. Really like the humor of this one though!

Congrats on completing another LD! I was quite entertained by this. Who knew growing humans for zombie consumption could be so much fun. That said, I would have liked to have sound music and sound effects. Overall, nice work.

Very good gameplay and decent idea. First time I've just eaten humans and cried ;(

Is there any way to acquire humans after all of them are gone?
I wasn't able to gather any food before i was left with empty farm.

"Human in pen has died from starvation. Feed them every month" this game has a really sick sense of humor and I really enjoyed it. Great job.

Interesting concept and some of the text popups was funny. but I failed to feed my filthy humans before they died :(

Congrats on completing your second LD! :smile: My humans died too :laughing: and I think I found a bug. I harvested all of my fields, using all of the harvests I could. When they grew back I didn't have any harvests left but was able to still harvest.

Also I didn't see anyone mention it but there is another window that opens when you launch the game that has what I believe to be debug information in it. I was able to see my harvest number go into the negative.

- props for building on Linux (I do also)
- my humans died before I got any human food to harvest
- no sounds :(

I'm not sure I was doing it right, the humans died before I could harvest anything, maybe that was the point? Some sound effects would have improved the game, and maybe move by click on a location?

Fun concept though!

Interesting concept with a nice twist. Great idea to make you play as a zombie and farm humans, like humans do with animals. Definitely very political and food for thought. :D
I agree with the others that a tutorial would have been nice, however it was okay as it was quite easy to work out how everything works. :)

Ok, if you don't eat the humans before feeding them, you actually have a chance :-) Nice idea! Sometimes the UI gets in the way of the player, that could be changed. And you should not be allowed to eat humans without the chance of succeeding. Although, is a Zombie intelligent enough to know that? I dont know. What I do know is that I had fun playing the game :-) You just should disable the audio rating section if there is no sound (or was it a bug that I did not hear any sound?)
