2018-04-23 (1).pngMove HappyBlock around in this Turn-based Platformer world where it only moves when you move! Use WASD to cheer up enemies and pass obstacles!

...that's pretty much it. this is the first time I've competed in Ludum Dare so im not too sure what to write! Sorry if the game is too short.

Interesting game because of the turn based it feels sometimes a bit more of a puzzler i guess. I would have liked if jumps also counted as a turn as i needed to move back/forward sometimes to get the right timing

Nice concept. Really feels like a fun puzzle game with a lot of potential. Jumping is a bit tricky though.

Nice game - apart from the tricky jumping, it was nice and simple. Good job!

I finished it! Great little self-contained package here. Central concept is fun and the levels get progressively more challenging culminating in a cute little boss battle at the end! I would have like to hear a little sound effect or two but overall it doesn't kill the game that they're not in there.

BTW if in the future you do want to add some quick sfx there's an awesome tool called sfxr - just mash randomize a few times til you find something you like and jam it in there. Works a treat!

Overall it felt really polished and enjoyable - good entry!

Cute little game. Has a really nice concept and well executed. The jumping was a bit off but luckily it doesn't affect you in game (thanks). Music would have obviously been nice but otherwise a nice game. Good Job :)

Great solid little game :) The mechanics all worked intuitively. The levels were designed in a way that made it fun and easy to keep progressing, but with a small dose of challenge to keep you on your toes.

Music and sounds would have been nice, as well as maybe a bit more graphical variety. On the other hand the graphics were simple and clean and made understanding the gameplay easy.

Overall I think the best thing about this game is how accessible and easy to pick up and play it is. It also keeps you hooked in.

Great work :)

Finished the game! It was a lot of fun. I do think the jumping should be fixed a bit however as sometimes i can't actually move while in air. I also wish some levels were harder. Other than these things. The game was awesome. :D.

Short and sweet, cute game about cheering people up and helping each other out. I like that you kept to the grid, and everything moved predictably. Well done!

A neat and simple little platformer. Would be nice to have been able to hold down the arrow keys, but overall the game was smooth and easy to understand. Good job

Feel free to play my game as well: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/breacard

A nice entry! I enjoyed the use of the friends by using them to cross spikes. Trying to time your movement across the thwomp-like spikes was satisfying when you have to double-back on yourself to get them to line up. I'd love to see this developed further! Keep making games! (And with my rating you are now out of the danger zone and you have 20 ratings ;) )
