Nice try!
I'd like to see some character animation when walking instead of gliding on the map, but is ok for a jam entry.
Also, enemies don't try to catch you, so it's not hard to stay away from danger.
I loved the "eat a berry, shoot something" concept.
Thanks for your work!

I won, hehe cool concept using the fruit as a sort of weapon. As said before some character animation would be cool. thumbs up

Thanks for the feedback Aterlamia. Yes, unfortunately we ran out of time to fully implement some of the features that we planned. Character animation would've been a great feature to have implemented too.

Just got the final edit in before the jam ended - had some late night inspiration.

Interesting idea but needs more work. I never needed to pick fruit because my amount never went down when attacking. And you can just walk around enemies, there's no reason to fight them. I also had my health go to 0 without dying.

The idea was unique, but could do with more time to make it better.

I really like this! I suspect it's one of those games that you could just keep going on over and over and over. Keep building more levels and maps etc and I'll keep playing!

@GiovanniBarrottu - your last comment couldn't be more true. All of your suggestions were functions that we wanted to implement but couldn't do with our time.
Thank you for taking the time to play and provide your feedback.

You guys have some amazing art assets! I feel like the game can be more fine-tuned, as I could abuse the fruit respawning when I leave the scene and come back to easily kill the bosses. But it's an amazing effort, and there is a lot of potential.

The art style is cute and the music is pleasant. It would benefit from fruit blast balancing, as you can rain down upon your enemies with great, tasty haste but, it is inherently enjoyable to play :) Good job!

I wanted the enemies to chase me! I loved the idea and what was there of the execution, I just had no reason to fight. I also suggest making things a bit snappier. When I transition out or into a scene, I can keep moving during the fade-out or in. It makes it hard to know when I'm actually transitioning. Also, when you go back to the farm, you can go down/right and get out of the farm.

I liked this! I think the concept is pretty cool, it'd be cool to see the ability to combine foods into a meal that's more powerful than the fruit by itself. I thought the art stayed consistent in style and looked nice, but although the movement was smooth, it did get a little glitchy here and there. Just could use a little better collisions detection. Overall, I liked it!

Overall, I enjoyed playing this game. I think adding more of a turn-based fighting mechanic would make the fighting more intense. I ended up just button mashing the one fruit and killing all the enemies with little to no damage. Also, disabling the player when the monster is triggered would help. There were a couple of moments when I didn't notice a monster and transitioned to a fight. Good game!
