COOLTits by Artur Majewski

[raw]
made by Artur Majewski for LD 43 (JAM)

Welcome to COOLTits, where you personate an ancient god. You need to instruct your following, your dear worshipers so they can summon you before the Inquisition tracks them down.

Gods don't speak directly to some weak mortal souls. Instead, they give them signs, and leave interpretation to them. At least it's that what you do. You have 5 rudimentary signs that you can embrace: Conflict, Diplomacy, Enthusiasm, Ruse and Apathy. Consider carefully what your cult leader has to say. Then decide what's your will. Outcome of your actions may vary though. You may lose your precious cultists, their devotion, or other resources.

Nice Game, Great Idea.

You should setup in the build options a fixed Window Ratio, otherwise the text will be cut off. And it's also hard to track which symbol mean what. Especially if there are important choices.

Next to that a real cool idea with a great result. Good Job

This was one of the more fun games I've played so far. With some more variety in the events, this could be a good time-killer game. My only complaint is that it can be hard to tell which icon corresponds to each action. As nice as the UI looks, it might be better if you could just choose between text options, or at least have the symbol you need to click in the text block describing your options.

I really enjoyed this game. It was a bit difficult to understand what each option such as ruse did. It was really fun trying to make a surviving cult. It had good music for atmosphere and the graphics were pretty good.
Something to improve on would be letting us know how to win and a way to check what each symbol means.

Very nice game with a rich story. There are some UI troubles, but overall game is really fun and complete.

@cheetah @jessmend815 @302-dave @deathstorm Thank you for your comments. Our initial intetnion was the symbols shouldn't be too straightforward, as people tend to misinterpretate signs from the gods. But true, in the course of the game symbols should have their names written, so you could better know what option you are chosing.

I like the idea, sort of like Underhand and Cultist Simulator, I always like games set in Lovecraftian settings.
There's music and sound design so that's a big plus, most of these types of games suffer without those things. Plus there's a sense of progression which makes the player want to see the end.

I like the idea but unfortunately there probably needs to be clearer communication for the player, I couldn't remember what each symbol meant which made things confusing
