Blood Mage

It's a game where you Sacrifice your Health to become Stronger.

The objective of the game is to reach the highest possible wave.

The Player has 3 Main Stats: - Damage - Speed - Fireball Cooldown S_02.jpg

In order for you to improve them, you need to clear the wave and sacrifice your own Health.

Every 5 waves you have to defeat a Boss that grants you Life. S_03.jpg

There are 3 Different Enemies as well as 3 Different Bosses

Controls

  • Move with "W A S D" or the "Arrow Keys"
  • Shoot Fireballs with the Mouse

The balancing of the game could be adjusted so that it is faster and more fun in the beginning. It feels like the movement is too slow. Good job, though!

@meursault I didn't had the time to balance the game. The First wave is kinda slow, but it picks up from there.

Also I published this as a Jam Game, and it's should be a Compo Game (I guess the lack of sleep got me at the end)

Congratulations, the game was really cool, simple and addictive. The monsters followed a very cool aesthetic and evolution. Full game.

First time, I barely got through the first level, I didn't quite make it to a boss to heal, so I got a little bit of upgrade and it made the game much better but I still died. Tried to play some more, but the first level is so boring while not being particularly easy, I didn't get past it. Aiming at the mouse without SEEING the mouse is a bad choice; sure you can see the direction, but it's not the same. Also, a better indication of cooldown would be appreciated; ideally there would be a sound effect but I also strongly recommend that you put like a small fire on the character to make it clear without having to look away. Seems like it has some potential, but again, I didn't get far.
