I made a game about public transportation too.
I also really like the simple cartoony art style, and the music, though repetitive, feels nice :) !
I don't really see the differences between levels but overall it is a funny and cool entry!
Only feedback is it isn't clear that the difficulty is ramping up, each level seems the same. It probably isn't but could be clearer.
Great work!
all the sits are empty. why does nobody sit?
Reminds me of trying to get off the bus with nobody willing to move...
At least in your game people are willing to fill the empty spaces :joy:
Nicely done. I liked the muted talking too. Like you would hear if you were listening to headphones in a crowded subway!
Awesome game! Thanks!
It felt good to figure out the pattern of getting people to move. I panicked at the end because the 2 guys by the door don't move. Good music.
great mechanics
The gameplay gets repetitive after a while once you get the hang of it tho, missing a bit of variety in terms of the level design and maybe the people you push around.
Overall very solid and polished entry, I enjoyed it a lot!
The gameplay itself is extremely simple, but was a great use of simple physics objects to create a thematic challenge! I would have liked to see a bit more directivity in the following "levels", maybe have some static ppl or objects etc.
All in all, a great entry!
Well done!
Other than that, the game is absolutely relatable haha, you are scoring high on fun and mood :D
Well done mate - wow graphics (that LIGHTING🤩), loved the tune and the subtle sfx, movement was loose and squidgy and excellently simulates the jostlyness of public tranport 👍
Everything about this game is so cool. from visuals to graphics. NICE JOB!
Also, if it's not much to ask, would you rate my game please? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/no-vacancy
Overall very good mood and aesthetic but i could use some diferent stages like maybe having to go the opposite direction of a wallking croud because you forgot something or being stuck at the back of an elevator, so on and so forth.
Good job, i had fun
From what I hear, the web version is different to the download version in terms of physics.
A bit of variety in the levels would have been cool though, like you could have other people trying to move around, or heavier people that are a real pain, or people that shoved you back and mumbled some swears under their breath - cause I really did feel like the annoying pushy person XD Just a few ideas I had while playing.
But a really solid entry, nice work!
I tried with a gamepad but I think the game is not event possible with gamepad, it's way easier on keyboard. Probably because a keyboard input is not sensitive so it's always the maximum force applied every frame.
Anyway, it was really fun, and very impressive for 48 hours!
Overall, it's a really cute idea with a great execution!
I downloaded your project just to copy the background music, its going to my running list :D (after I compress it from 148 MB xD)
The physics could do with tweaking to be a bit "squishier" - Maybe instead of just relying on the glitchniness of the rigidbody physics, have each passenger repel others within some very small radius, with the strength decreasing based on distance (like springs, or magnets).
(ノ・∀・)ノ -( BTW )
We also have an HTML5 entry if you want to play it and rate it.
P.S.: I was so stressed out while playing it haha
I liked it, keep up the good work!
An excellent take on the theme. Good job!
The BGM is pretty groovy! Almost =too= groovy though, might not actually match with the feel of....being stuck in a sea of people.
Concernng graphics, I really like it, the effects with lights and shaking it really add something to the game :)
Great work, one of the best compo I played
