WELCOME TO "DIE BACK"

Beat all the 10 opponents if you can!

You may trade your Life force for skills between the fights. Then you just relax and enjoy - the battle is automatic. Every enemy has different tactics! Be careful and use your cunning to win.

Three abilities are available for purchase before each battle. Buy by clicking on them, or roll if you want to try getting something else. Each action's price is below it. Also every ability has a tooltip with info.

You may reorder the abilities you have to change priority for spells. You may also sell them for half the price. Press fight button when you are ready. Escape opens main menu. Space pauses the fight.

This is one of my favorite art styles I've seen in the jam! Everything from the buttons, icons, to attack animations looks so thematic, and the concept of the game is great.

This was awesome! The art style and interface you guys created was really cool. Definitely took me one or two deaths before I actually figured out what was going on, but it was pretty fun! The animations and different enemy types were also really cool. Overall, really good gameplay and style - the audio was alright but didn't really lend much to the game, but other than that, I'm a huge fan.

Amazing art direction, lots of visual content for a jam. Too bad you didn't have time to implement some feedbacks on the spell buttons, like you did for the menu. Other than that it can be very addictive ^^

OK this is the first Ludum Dare game of 44 I am playing and I have been sitting here for 45 minutes trying to win. I can't quite do it so I'm moving forward. Your game has an incredible, and I daresay insane amount of potential!

The game is super pretty and simple but it works super well ! I was already thinking of strategies to solve it like a puzzle.

I have two (really minor) complains :
* I was just a little bit boring waiting for the mob to fight, maybe it wasn't enough quick ? Or it need some action to get some bonus ?
* Also I'm not a fan on the music. I don't have the feeling it matches with the game design.

It has a big potential and I'm seeing me already playing this type of game during my home to job traffic !

For its casual look, the game is much harder than I anticipated. All that can be said about the game was already said (impressive graphics and audio). The only thing that its a little bit off is game balance, you somewhat can't understand from the very beginning if you have some advantage over opponents or not (and random dmg amplifiers make the situation even worse). Overall, a very solid entry. Keep it up, guys!

Art style is amazing. The drag to sell mechanic didn't really see any play for a while so maybe introduce that earlier on? Really nice graphics though!

Wow, all of theme comments about the art style and polish are definitely deserved!
One bit of feedback I have is that it would maybe add a bit more strategy satisfaction if, while you were buying your next upgrades, you had *some* information about your next opponent. Thus, one could make a slightly more informed strategic decision about whether to play it safe with what you have or gamble for a better powerup. Maybe just one or two of their abilities. However, one could just memorize the ten different fights so this feedback is more relevant if you end up implementing a larger set of semi-randomized encounters in the future.

Great entry! Possibly the first one that actually felt like a challenging and complete game. Incredibly addicting, I actually took the time to beat it. Absolutely loved the graphics and the art style. The balance was quite good, a few of the foes were phenomenal and had a lot of personality in their movesets and designs. Great job guys, keep it up!
Only one tiny bug though: after a few attempts my guy had a constant visual effect of being stunned even though he wasn't. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Very well designed visually, it looks incredible. Your colour choices/graphic design come together so well. Good choice of music. I think you could definitely take this game a lot further, but the 'spending health for upgrades' element doesn't seem very logical, but does fit the theme of course. I would get rid of that and turn this into a badass fighting/strategy game, or some form of RPG :)

Hey, that was quite an addictive gameplay! Very well done!
Still trying to find which combo does the best....

Yeees! Made it!

With 4 level of stun, poison, fury, vampirism (health + mana), regeneration (health+mana), attack, crit chancee, health steal (-120 health at once, wow)
