The game is a little bit repetitive, and because you can upgrade, the game actually gets easier over time instead of harder.

I would suggest that next time you make the monsters get harder over time.

The art is amazing though.

It would be cool to navigate the menus with your keyboard as well: Reaching 5 inches for the mouse feels like such a long way away, haha The game is fun though. As others have already said; the artwork is very nice!

Not a bad game. The game is a bit easy and repetetive though like the others said. Also I find the pickup sound pretty irritating I think lowering the pitch and putting a fadeout on it would have done wonders. The pixel art is suberb though.

The mechanics are delivered intuitively and the games is also well polished, great entry!. Feels like a proof of concept of a bigger indie game :)

Very cool graphics and idea, the only thing is the repetitive mechanics, but this was a game jam, so we all had a lot of things to do and not so much time. Very cool indeed!

My suggestion would be to add more enemy types with varying degrees of resistance to light. Adding a day/night cycle where you can only do upgrades during the day would also add some challenge.

Well, that was easy. I lost the first time because I still didn't understand the interaction with stuff around me (I didn't even know I should protect the house). The second time, it was a piece of cake. I like the art style and the music totally fits the atmosphere. The game needs more content like stronger enemies that appear in later waves, more upgrades or buildable stuff etc. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot.

This is a really solid game given the time constraints of a jam! I have to admit upon upgrading the incentives didn't stick, and it did become repetitive. I can definitely see it develop into a bit more of a plants vs zombie archetype in terms of progression and it would be cool to explore beyond just the linear plane (having lampposts only shine bright for ghosts that can fly?) would love to see a more developed version for the future!

This was a really interesting game, with a good concept. Loved the art, together with the sound it created an amazing mood. However the lamps didn't keep the light for too much time, and I just ran from side to side lighting them up, which was a bit repetitive. But the mood was amazing, and I think with some different challenges, maybe even a whole town (with lamps that keep light for long after you leave) it could be a great and bigger game. Really wish you expand this after the jam, it has a great mood, potential and already looks amazing. Given the time constraints it's great. Congratulations!

I loved the graphism.

Good work on this game ! Really liked the graphics and the visuals, but the light life of the two lamps was too short ! And I didnt killed any ghost with these two lamps ! So I was patrolling between the two sides. The music was great an the sound effects was also good. Thnx a lot for the fun when I was playing you game ! Good entry !

I really liked the graphics and style. I also liked the game mechanics and use of the theme. As others have said it just needs a bit more depth to stop it getting repetitive, under the time restraints I understand adding more features is hard. Really nice entry :grin:

Oh no! I already finished the game. I was just getting familiar with the controls and everything. I was ready to start over and beat this game but then the winninig text showed up!

The difficulty is way too easy and I am actually quite disappointed because it was cool and I was having fun.

Also there was no big surprise at the end, just a plain old text, all of a sudden. I assume you ran out of time, 72 hourse is not much. Still, I would have hoped for more.

What is there is really nice, great visuals and sound, the mood is perfect. The music fits the theme and the overall atmophere lets you forget what is around you while playing. Really well done on the art side of things.

Gameplay, as I said, is much fun as well, once I figured out you could repair the lights, it got a lot easier, I was already half way haunted. But with the lamp posts intact it was a breaze. That is why I expected something more.

Overall a greate entry, thanks and keep up the good work!

I really like the art style, pixelart and mood is great! I kept trying to find a jump key and I wanted to hurt the ghosts somehow but I failed to do so =) Someone should take a look at those street lights as well, they break very easily! =)

I love the graphics but I was hoping for the game to become progressively more difficult, instead it just seemed to become easier as I purchased new upgrades.
