Story -

Astroguy is a wandering pilot searching for a home to call his own. While wandering the cosmos, he spills his StellarSoda™ on his dashboard and one thing leads to another until he finds himself barrelling towards a floating island world, home to Blueman. Being the magnificent pilot he is, Astroguy takes control and gently lands on Blueman's island, leaving a crater, a busted ship and smoke coming from a lot of places it shouldn't be. Unfortunately for Blueman, his tower had been invaded by local pests. With the two of them conveniently having met, they quickly strike a deal, where Astroguy will clear the tower of enemies in exchange for Blueman fixing the ship up.

this was fun but had a few problems - the hitboxes for the enemies was somehow off and i had no idea how much health they had left (i think) - graphics were very nice and the use of theme was good - nice game

Short and sweet but the graphics and audio are very nice. Pretty fun too but hit detection seemed a bit funny with the enemies taking 2 shots then randomly disappearing. Good work though, it's very pretty.

Hit detection was problematic, but otherwise the game works nicely.

It's allways cool to have a small narrative scene to open and close the game. It's bring some life in characters. Good job ;)

You had me a the first screenshot -- the graphics reminded me of an awesome Minecraft biome in the sky.

Loved the graphics, especially the player's model, and the overall gameplay. The game's completeness made up for the shortness.

I agree that the shooting physics are somewhat buggy, but it was still quite satisfying to shoot enemies. It looks like you focused on models, graphics and level design, which are all done remarkably well. The visuals are excellent, the music is nice and undistracting, but the gameplay could definitely use some more action. Maybe that's something for a post-compo version -- what you've got here is a solid, good-looking base for developing something even better, and that's a great result. Awesome work!

I loved the graphics and music this game has, really great job on that. I feel like the shooting is (like others said) a bit buggy, and the game has very little content. Also as your health gets reset every room, you can just walk through the enemies to each door to complete it as well. Perhaps put a door their that opens once all enemies are killed, so players actually have to kill the enemies. Really good entry overall.

I really enjoyed this. The art was done really nicely, and the fact that there was no HUD yet you showed the health through the player circle, that tiny detail really nailed the graphics for me. The audio also really fit the game as well. The game itself controlled really smoothly and fluidly, and I enjoyed it. I would have liked to see a bit more content however, and possibly some more variety, but other than that great work

I really liked this game (the level design was great!). I think it would be challenging if you had a limit of shoots (or a cooldown?)

Overall i liked this, i played about 50 secs which i feel is a bit short, but it felt and played like a game

- Graphics: Great, looks and feels polished and immersive, right amount of detail for this kind of game
- Gameplay: Very basic shooter, definitly annoying hitbox problem. The level design was ok i think, but the levels were a bit simple. Since you had the text system made i was hoping for some more story because this sounded like an easy win?
- Audio: Ok but minimal, the shooting sound wouldve gotten very annoying in minute 2

The sky island is SOOOO nice but sadly nothing to do there :( Overall a good entry but some missed opportunities.

I really liked graphics - climatic even if realtively simple. As others have already mentioned, it would be nice to have some kind of health bar and maybe even limited ammunition system but the latter is just a suggestion.

I was quite surprised that there were more than one or two levels - not frequently visible on jam-games. Gj!

Even though the game was a minute long, I still enjoyed it a lot for what It was. The models/environment were very satisfying to look at too. Good job :)

I love the composition of the start together to the music. It's a good core for a future game.

This is a great entry. There are lots of nice little details in the art style. I like that the health is visible below the character. The lighting of the rooms is done nicely and its cool to see a variety of objects in the game world. The story is simple but complete with a beginning middle and end. My only complaint is that the game is a bit easy and when you do die the death cycle is a little jarring. Good show!

Nice graphics and sound effects. The gameplay was fairly standard, but set in a lovely looking world so I still enjoyed it.

A cute world and an easy-to-grasp mechanic make it very approachable. I liked the little touches like variation on the laser sound and the detailed lighting. I think the addition of "destroy FX" on enemy death would go a long way to making the combat more satisfying & clearer, but overall an enjoyable entry!

Nicely made game, the music and art is brilliant, and I love the whole aesthetic of the game. Some of the collision seems to be off, but great job though!

Nice, but short game. I liked how you represents the character's health, it's better than a simple bar. Little tip: a key and a button at the end to quit the game would have been a good idea.

Some rather cute graphics, and the audio fits well (though there doesn't seem to be sound on the last hit?). Bit disappointed when shooting the other alien didn't give me an instant game over.
But the biggest question I have is how'd the other alien get my ship to the roof so quickly _and_ fix it?

@phaze0 thanks for the feedback and uhh he flew the ship up, probably.

Very cool game, the design reminds me of Gorillaz (Plastic Beach era) art. I agree with other commenters about the hit detection, but it was still a very enjoyable play.
Perhaps another iteration couldhave longer game play, a little more intense & harder difficulty level. Either way, great job!

... wait the title of the game is also a new Gorillaz song. coincidence? ;)
