All of Me by Lucien Catonnet
Description
Simple scene with a few interactions (there are things to do). First ever "game" with my custom engine :)
Instructions
Use WASD or ZQSD to move, mouse to look, left click to interact. Download the zip from itch.io, extract it and start AllOfMe.exe.

And also GG Marjolaine for the assets and the scene, hard thing to do in only one week-end.
I hope you'll continue working with your engine and make it suitable for large levels. Good luck ;)
The movements were fine in my case. Do you multiply your speed on dt between frames?
Be aware of dt problems in physics simulation at the beginning of your engine development. To get stable physics you need to do some tricks with your dt. You can read more here: https://gafferongames.com/post/fix_your_timestep/
While designing my own engine, lot of inspiration I got in data-driven design. Probably best resource on it: https://blog.molecular-matters.com/
Keep going - hope to see actual game on LD40 :)
@mads @ohmaigawd @eternal: Could you tell me what message you get inside the console when it crashes? (there's a black terminal in the background, you can Alt-Tab to it) Thanks :)
@ruba: Binary representation of meshes is far from my current concerns, but of course it's part of the plans. I do use dt for movement. My physics dt is fixed with accumulator, I actually already read that article and some other articles on Molecular Matters but thanks, here's another good one:

@catbutt: Thanks for the feedback, yes it doesn't actually capture the cursor, it moves it back on the edges of the screen, it works with a single monitor but not multiple ones, that's something I should indeed fix :)
@thygrrr: Thanks for your feedback! Interactions definitely lack feedback, that's something I regret not taking the time to add :/
An error occurred while launching All of Me
application crashed. process exited with code 2147483651
Hope this error code is helpful
Likes:
- claustrophobic, but still feels like home
- nice details, takes a while to figure out what's going on
- pretty snappy engine
- works for WASDies as well as for AZERTies. clever!
Try differently:
- the mouse cursor is not captured, which makes it hard to play on multiple horizontally adjacent displays (when you look around, the cursor wanders onto one of the side screens, and as soon as you click, the game is minimized or unfocused)
- not sure if I found all the interactions?
Overall:
- good piece of coding and a better piece of music!
Looking forward to seeing your next game!
