Tales of Haroldo! by iagorigel

Hi there!!!

In this game you are Haroldo a guy who was trapped in this infinite dungeon by the devil of time itself, you need to fight constantly to steal the lifetime of your opponents to yourself and stay alive while you try to escape! This game is a fast-paced rogue-like-ish infinite dungeon!

Controls:

  • Use the keyboard arrows to move.
  • Use Z to attack.
  • Use S to open shop.
  • Use M to mute the song, but the SFX keep going.

Tips;

  • If you run fast enough, you can run from your enemies
  • This game is supposed to be hard.
  • You will fail, and that's ok, try to remember where all things are for your next run
  • Every time you finish the zombies level, your enemies get stronger, remember to upgrade!
  • The sound will start REALLY loud, if you are using headphones, I recommend you lower your volume, and after you start the game, adjust it accordingly
  • Use S to pause the game if you need some time to breathe!

Know bugs:

  • Sometimes you will get your foot stuck in a hole in the floor, just do a side step and you can free yourself!
  • In rare cases, a demon or a zombie may want to leave and simple goes flying... just pretend you didn't see that heresy
  • Sometimes you press S and the Shop don't close, just click with your mouse on the background, click S again, and you are good to go!
  • Remember to play full screen or your page will scroll down! That's kinda a Construct problem (or maybe I don't know how to solve it yet)

Great fast paced game! The music and the game over reminded me of playing those arcade shooter games, good times! Enjoyed it thanks

Really Cool game. I think the sword might have a better range but the game is really nice. Unfortunately, construct apparently does not manage well the focus of the canvas as the up/down arrow is making the whole page scroll on mine.
Really nice entry however! I enjoyed it!

Cool game, art is really good. I sometimes randomly got stuck in the wall and hitting the enemies that were above me was kinda hard, but maybe that was just me being bad. XD Audio was goood. Nice sfx and music (music was a bit too loud though :D) And I think WASD movement would've been a good addition to arrow keys movement, but it was fine that way. Overall I think that was a really noice one, well done!

Neat idea. Great job with the art and sound. I wish it was clearer how upgrading affected you. Also a bit difficult to play on the page unless you're fullscreen (page scrolls when you use the arrow keys to move), but I don't know if that's a bug or a fault with Construct.

Nice pixel art and animations! Sure, the game could use more enemy variations or traps or movement control like dashing but as a basic concept it works pretty well.

Great submission, controls were a bit floaty for my taste. Graphics were great, and some hitbox issues were around but my biggest complaint was lack of feedback when the player got hit.

Great one, but sometimes the screen scrolled up so I couldn't see the game anymore.
Big fan of the grafics, music also very good.
