2D-Tris by Monofraps
2D-Tris! It's like Tetris, except... it's not.
In 2DTris you use all the blocks known from classic Tetris to fill out a randomly generated shape at the field's bottom. While you cannot move the block sideways, the divinity of game scripting gave you the ability to rotate the world... or something. - There are also special event tiles which change your block's shape.
Filling out the target shape will score you points. However, every block outside the shape will reduce your score. Shape difficulty and drop speed will increase with every completed level. - How long can you last?
Controls:
A and D to rotate the game field
Space to rotate the block itself
W to fast-drop the current block
Escape to exit to the main menu

but in all seriousness:
This took a minute for my mind to adjust to and to get a feel for the controls. It is ALOT harder than it looks, seeing someone speed run this would be amazing and nauseating.
I laughed at the "game over" sound.
Wait, did you made sounds with your mouth? :O xD
@hippy dave: OSX build is available now - hope it works, but we can't test it.
@HolyBlackCat: Yep, we did make all the sounds with our mouths.
My big issue with it is that sometimes I'd get so far and find it was (as far as I could tell) impossible to fill in the remaining area, since no shape would fit and no matter how I moved or rotated, that wasn't going to change (since there's no rotation of the pieces, only the fall direction).
The other problem is that there isn't quite the same time pressure as Tetris as I can just keep rotating round and round so the piece didn't land, giving me as long as I wanted to think about the move I was going to make.
