Martial Arts Cube Simulation by Collin Thompson

[raw]
made by Collin Thompson for LD 41 (JAM)

My first Ludum Dare Game, this is a mix of a simulation and action game, play as a cube running around kicking blue mindless rectangular prism robots in four different levels, and try to get the high score! W, A, S, D to move around, space to jump, e to kick, left click to look left, and right click to look right. Controls are also near the download link and in the Google Drive next to the zip. file. Sorry about the larger file size, the textures are really high resolutions (8192 x 8192) to get the most detail out of fairly simplistic textures.

Idk how that game's size is so large, but otherwise a very nice game and original idea!

Pretty fun experience! Only downside is finding the right keys to press, otherwise a fun little fightingsim :D

I updated the description with an explanation for the controls, and an explanation for the larger file size.

Fun game! I would have preferred for the mouse movement to turn the player, and click to attack, but it was still an enjoyable entry

Amazing game, I didn't read the controls before I started but got them within 20 seconds. Very fun. I would love to see multiplayer if you continue to develop the game. I would also prefer if A and D rotated the player instead of walking to the right. Also looking forward to a new death sound ;). I would love to see further development

Thanks, Tidemann Norli, for your suggestions and for playing and rating the game! If I were to continue to develop it (I probably will), I would add an option for switching rotation to "a" and "d" and multiplayer too, because that sounds awesome! Thanks again for playing and rating the game! :)

Nice entry. would be glad if looking around was done via mouse rather than left and right mouse buttons! Losing piano sound thing gave me a near heart attack (had sound a little bit too loud i guess) but sound design in general was still good. Graphics while simplistically charming.. would be good if it had some models :) Also not sure if the loading screen is "fake loading screen" or not but if it is then i'd really recommend not having fake loading screen... its much better for everyone! not that those few seconds changes anything but still. all in all, pretty good entry!

Thanks, Shelvid, for the rating, playing and leaving suggestions on the game, yeah the sound volume should be more balanced, the loading screens are just images on the screen while the levels are loading, thanks again for playing, reviewing, and leaving suggestions! :)
