Movement is a bit stiff, and the enemies' movements can be a little frustrating, but a fun little game nonetheless !

** First Impression **: Your initial post really grabbed my attention i really like the wanted poster :D

** Sound/SFX **: The background music really sets a good mood for the game :) also your sfx choice is really great :) one thing about the music tho, something fast (due to the nature of the game) might also work really well with it :)

** Graphics **: I really like those, especially the main character :D

** Gameplay **: The gameplay reminds me of pacman, and it also gives of that feel, i even manage to get nearly all batteries (which wasn't easy :D), one thing about it tho sometimes the enemies take a path which leads them to catch you without getting away due to their increased speed compared to yours? maybe more sight of the map would have been good to counter this?

** Overall **: Great job with your entry, you can be proud of what you achieved :)

I was going to say a minimap would have been nice, but then I realized that the game was actually the screen from the Gameboy. Really good concept and really fun to play.

This was an interesting pacman like game. The characters are interesting and the music wasn't bad! I did find the game a tad difficult and with it being difficult to start a new game it was frustrating. Sorry if I ripped you a little too hard on the stream I didn't mean to.

Btw out of curiosity how did you handle the mouse clicks on the menu. It just occurred to me why it was so difficult to start a new game and it might have to do with where you put the code to accept mouse clicks on the menu. In my first project development class one of the teams using unity put all of their input inside of FixedUpdate() functions (rather than Update() with Time.deltaTime applied). As a result even though it worked perfectly on the computers they were making the game on whenever they got up in front of the class to demonstrate the game hardly worked. I don't know if you checked for mouse clicks in a FixedUpdate or if other functions can do similar weirdities to input but that might be something worth looking into because I had a LOT of trouble starting a game and it didn't seem like a coordinate issue but a dropped input issue.

Like Pac-Man in space. The concept is nothing to scream about, but the execution was well done and the concept of being in the gameboy screen zoomed-in is a nice touch. Good job!

Very similar to Pac-Man but adjusted for the theme, nice! Good job on the animations too. The only thing that bugged me was the menu, it was too confusing. I was clicking everywhere trying to start the game thinking that something was broken.

I like how the game takes place in a game boy screen, it's a really cute concept. I like the character designs. The character moves a bit slowly for my tastes, and I found it a little too easy to get surrounded and cornered in some sections of the map. Otherwise, pretty solid arcade-like game.

Positive
* I couldn't stop playing it until I pick all the batteries ;)
* Love the retro touch (pixel art, the GameBoy, etc.)

Negative
* Nice game but is actually an skinned PacMan with batteries.
* It's a bit unfair that you move slower than the randomly controller enemies :(

Nice entry though! Congrats!

Strange, neither the HTML5 nor the downloadable version work for me. It goes to "Starting Gameboy", the screen freezes, causing a whole bunch of CPU load, and then the application drops to desktop.

All in all its a Pac man like game. Its got a really good look&feel to it. Needs a bit of tweaking since it is unfair in some situations.

Talking about unfair :)

As I said on my stream: I'm a fan of the concept of playing a game on a virtual handheld. The idea of seeing the borders of the Not-Game-Boy while playing was a nice little detail and I'm a big fan of the main character design. The only gripes I really had were the slow movement speed for the player, enemies rarely going through walls and enemies being able to spawn practically right on top of you when you start the game.

Still, very cool concept and pretty solid execution! :)
