Though it's rough around the edges I can really see the potential this game would have. I had the idea for a city building game using cards some years ago but never went through with it past the \"Hey this is a cool idea\", so it's cool to see it as an actual game and it actually working rather well!\n\nThe adjacent bonuses are novel ideas but the creeper cards make building the most efficient town, not a really worthwhile option, I wanted to place a bunch of power plants and a steel mill in the center, but that skyrockets the available work and it punishes the player for wanting to play like this, I'm not too sure how I feel about that.\n\nI also would've very much liked to see the population exponentially increase based on the amount of housing and work available and not with a fixed amount per turn.\n\nPersonally I would speed up the process of the cards being drawn, perhaps even only limiting the amount of total cards in hand but having a set amount of cards in the hand and having to discard when your hand surpasses a certain amount of cards at the end of a turn. I can also very much get behind @psilocybegames 's feedback.\n \nThe university increasing the amount of cards you have is an interesting idea, but with the current way the hand is set up and having to press buttons to scroll to other cards, it becomes quite tedious and there's not a lot of reason to build it past the initial first one to get the HiTech office.\n\nDue to the work that the other buildings gave, I found myself not really making offices as I didn't really have a reason to, leaving them mostly unused in my city, this is a shame, I really want to be able to use them!!\n\nZooming in and out would be a nice addition so you can see your whole city in one screen, it's one of the pleasures of a city management game and really showcases the progress you made. Tilting the camera would also be a really nice addition to the game to see your city in a new way.\n\nThe audio was a little bit droning, but this is easily remedied by adding some more and different tunes.\n\nFinal bit of feedback or rather a request, please add a **next turn keybind** that just allows me to skip to the next turn with the press of a button! It'll feel a lot nicer not having to move my mouse to the discard pile (Also you might want to add \"(Next turn)\" underneath the text so people know that they have to press there to go to the next turn.\n\nAll in all, this game has a lot of potential if you were to expand on it with more buildings, an revise the UI of the game. Well done! I'd love to see this game explored further past the game jam state!\n\nHere's a picture of my beautiful city Densinville! (Please let me name my city when founding it!)\n\n![2018-04-25 (8).png](\/\/\/raw\/414\/41\/z\/13f42.png)","likes":2,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"nander","author_uid":"1000436","time":"2018-04-25T21:12:54Z","epoch":1524690774,"modified":1524732958,"text":"One of the problems we had was that our code base allows a lot more dynamic cards than currently exist. If you bankrupted, then you would see one of them: creepers can force you to build. Basically, building is just 'one step' of the execution of a card.\n\nThe current creepers were honestly stop-gaps, because our mechanical insides only allow creeper cards to update money and population. Maybe the not enough work card should have increased population, at the expense of money, although that might have been too easy again.\n\n@Densin I've copied your message into our internal telegram group, if we make a post-version (we were planning to, because we believe this game can become good), we'll look at your feedback.\n\nAlso, your population grows a lot quicker if you have more happiness.","likes":2,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Darby Costello","author_uid":"1081876","time":"2018-04-26T10:44:29Z","epoch":1524739469,"modified":1524739469,"text":"Amazing that you managed to pull off something so ambitious in such a short space of time.
