Our first LD submission, it was a lot of fun jamming together and having a great team! We started late and didn't spend a lot of time initially, but ended up working until 3 am on the last day. The music was recorded on a Casio CT-480 keyboard and GarageBand on iPad.

Desktop version requires Java Runtime Environment to run.

Controls

Keyboard needed - 1: Build battery - 2: Build solar panel - 3: Build hotel - Enter/Return: Next day

Soundtrack

You can get it on Bandcamp!

Play the sound for buying stuff, even if you don't see new stuff.

and You need a Easy, medium and hard level...But it is fun.

Seriously, I would pay for that music. Gameplay was surprisingly addictive. Personally, I think some GUI rather than keyboard buttons would have been more user-friendly, but obviously time constraints may have been an issue. Well done :)

Nice!, I think if you guys polish it, you could make a great game, this has potential.

This game shows that there is elegance in simplicity: with only three inputs, you managed to create compelling and engaging gameplay. I had a lot of fun on my playthrough.

The music is groovy AF, what software did you use to make it? I'd love for you to add a download for it. However sometimes I would run into a bug where there would be two non-synchronized versions of the night music running, which was annoying because a single version of the night music is so awesome. Using the web version by the way.

I feel that the blurry and pixelated art of the game works poorly. I'd have preferred stylized MS paint graphics.

As @JesperSB said, the game would greatly benefit from multiple difficulty modes. I finished day 30 with 2572 guests, 500% of the stated goal. Simply adding a slider at the beginning for the effectiveness of solar panels would do wonders for the difficulty and replayability of the game.

I had severe input lag, where I would press a key and it wouldn't take effect for a good two or three seconds. It would happen instantly as soon as I moved the mouse though.

It made me sad that as my building grew it obstructed the view of my batteries and solar panels, and then after 50 hotels I could no longer see the new ones. For me personally, a lot of the joy of this game came from watching my hotel grow over time, so it was a major bummer when that stopped happening around day 20. Late-game would be a lot more satisfying with some clever rearranging of the graphics.

Overall I'm glad I played this game, it made me feel happy. Excellent work.

Nice entry. Simple gameplay, but you still have to learn by trial. I found it to get quickly repetitive, so maybe adding something like weather could force the player to adapt.

Also I didn't understand if the people leaving my hotel was happening normally or because of some of my choices.

Good job!

Clever use of audio, I like it! It would be good if the game were more challenging.

The game started to get a bit repetitive after a few rounds so you could add more stuff to buy. The art would have been good if it was less blurry but the music and sound were great fit well with the game.

As other said, a bit repetitive and too easy. The sounds however were excellent! I escpecially loved the "It can't be real, man!".

The audio was certainly a nice surprise. All around playable game, though very easy once you understand how it works.

Funny and interesting entry! Especially liked sounds and music. Visuals are bit lacking, they get worse during gameplay as after some point you can’t even see anymore the things you are adding to the island. Overall good job!

I love the ambience/mood of this. Didn't really find it a challenge, and I didn't fully understand what was happening -- I just liked doing it.

Haha, nifty little game, very easy mechanics, but i couldn't stop before the whole beautiful island was full of tourist bunkers :p

Well done indeed! :D
