Good idea, but the inertia on the player is way too strong. It makes it really hard to control, therefore really frustrating... Correct just this thing and you'll have a nice little game :)

I like the concept. I think collecting trying to kill yourself but collecting immunities is a nice take on the theme, but initially I thought i was collect all the immunities. It seems that only 1 immunity is active at a time. So im not sure how close to the theme of them more you have the worse it is. running through the mines just to have to wall jump back up was frustrating. so improvement on the controls could go a long way.

THis.... GAME. this game is the worst gameplay experience i've had. But i couldn't put it down, i had to see where it was going. i must complete and then i just started chanting "please, just let me die" over and over again in real life as i progressively got closer to my goal of figuring out how to beat this game. Time went on. I discovered the selective immunity and I roared at the screen. The secret poison position that i was hoping it'd be an apple! it wasn't a good one, it was poisoned! Then the spikes got me. Oh this game, this game this gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame. I played on ultra low graphics, but i had to do the ultra HIGH graphics to see the boost in mood. I got stuck under some spikes, but did that stop me? no! i restarted the entire game!!! Now onward to victory. i touched all the evil in the level and i SAW this. https://www.screencast.com/t/rDtdROegY7 YESYESYESYESYESYES game of the year! ah HAAaaaaaaaaaaa

Your game is super addictive, I do not know why, but I really got hooked until I finally succeed to die in all possible ways. You can improve the controls, especially the super slow acceleration/deceleration as it is particularily frustrating when platforming on the lava/sand zone and I am not sure any walk animation could make it feel natural. Great programmer's art by the way, I am fan of your style :)

Addictive and frustrating game! It reminded me "Getting over it" I would have added your voice teasing the player! =)

Great idea! Only having one immunity at a time is a great piece of design too, otherwise this would get trivial pretty fast. The problem is the controls: slippery, unresponsive, slow when you need to go fast, fast when you need to go slow. How did you manage to bring forth such ruination!?

The graphics are ugly. Completely functional, but ugly. The music is better, yet the lack of sound effects does hurt the experience.

While innovative the immunity idea does not fit the theme that well. Infinite lives being bad for you does make sense, but it has little connection with the interactivity.

Unlike @commanderstitch I did not restart after getting stuck between spikes and a platform (the character should be just wee bit shorter to avoid this). Thanks for the screen grab!

The controls drag this down... What can I say.

Great Work!

I myself don't like this kind of games in general but to be honest, this game looks good. I loved the theme and the environment. The music was kinda getting on my nerves but I believe that it was serving its purpose for the game. The inertia was too much so that is something you might need to fix. Some areas was too difficult it was cruel :D All in all great entry. Congratulations :)

The inertia made the game far too frustrating to play. I just couldn't get past the first few platforms after getting the lava immunity. From reading the comments, however, it really looks like the sort of game I would enjoy, and it sounds inventive as well. Should you choose to make a version with less frustrating platforming, please ping me and I will gladly play again.

I like the concept of the game and would love to see where it is going, but given that it takes me several minutes to get up the first few platforms over the lava, I was unable to finish it. As mentioned by others, the platforming is way too difficult, and the player should have much less inertia. In fact, platforming generally is a genre where the player is given pretty fine control (i.e. being able to control path of jumps), so it's pretty unintuitive to have one that is so difficult to control.

Very nice concept! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzMlvyUelZw
