Hi folks ! Thank you for stopping by and trying Panquetzalt ! I had real fun making this game and I expect you will find it challenging enough !

It was my first Ludum Dare but be sure I will gladly come back. It was really a great thing to experience.

If you have any tips about game mechanics, arts making or anything that could be improved in Panquetzalt, feel free to leave me a comment or to ping me on twitter : @OwlyCode. I always like to learn and discuss about games.

Thank you again, good luck saving the world from an angry god !

The game felt a little fast paced. In the end I just ended up clicking randomly cause it didn't seem like I had enough time to determine what was the right option. Also, was not sure if some of the sacrifices were supposed to be exactly or at least. The art was good and the laser eyes was cool.

The idea is nice, I really like playing it :). But i think it become too much difficult too fast.

Really cool game. The artwork looked great and the idea was very cool. A better difficulty curve would have helped a lot, but otherwise, great work

Very nice game, nothing much to add, very good feel. The timer is definitely too short. I'd have gone for longer timer maybe with more options or restrictions from the God.

Maybe buy more time by sacrificing randos in the crowd :p?

Nice job!

I love the music it ohmost makes you want to click to the beat. The only real problem with this game is that sometimes it feels like the god gets angry to quickly and you have no time to choose. I do like that you have the visual feedback of the pyramid changing color.

@dk5000p @kiisuk @sthor726 @jhell @theseusinabottle Thank you all for your valuable feedback. What is fun is that I multiplied by 2 to 3 the timers before submitting the game, now I'm glad I did it. I might have got too skilled at it while developing and got biased on how it could be too challenging for someone that tries it for the first time.

@jhell Ahah I didn't even planned to make the crowd useful but this would have been in the entry if I had had the idea, maybe a post jam update ?

Nice game even though it's pretty hard and I have no idea if you can win it.

I felt that every time I managed to find what I wanted to sacrifice the timer just ran out, so I would give the player more time. I find that good idea is to start easy and make it harder with time, it is hard to actually find the right amounts though.

One other point I wanted to make is that I would use different font for the texts. I loved the looks of the game, but the font actually substracted from the mood for me, it just did not fit.

Also took a bit of time to notice what I should click, I first tried to click all the little guys that fit the description and only after dying horribly 2 times I actually found out what to do, I would include this little info in the tutorial.

Overall, really cool game! Congratulations for making it to the finish line!

I agree that the player needs a little more time. I personally don't like games that require fast thinking; I've been accustomed to thinking things out before taking action, though, that's a personal preference. Generally, I agree with the above comment about the time though.

That said, I love the art style! And the concept is really good, too! This is an excellent compo entry!

I really enjoyed it! Would be good to get better audio and visual feedback about the amount of time you have left. At the moment, you have to look at the top of the screen to get check when you're running out of time, which you don't want to do because you're so focused on playing the game.
