If I hadn't messed up, I probably could have kept going with it!
To the moon!
First time I played I broke it, had some NaNs show up causing the Current Price to always be 0
After that playing a normal run was pretty fun for a bit. though i noticed that buying and selling basically immediately tended to cause prices to rise. testing this granted me great riches:

Nice game :)

I think if the game is supposed to make the player feel bored or what they're doing is pointless, I feel like it needs to be like a layer removed from that so the player can recognize that's what the game is trying to do. For example, if there were things you could buy but they got more and more useless sounding, or maybe it also shows you how much power is being used in order to generate the currency so the player knows how they're affecting the world. Anyway good job!
@Anonymous Yesss I was hoping for at least one response like that. I hope you at least went through my dialogue tree :P
Great entry.
I have no particular feelings for or against cryptocurrency in principle.
I do not believe the spirit of Ludum Dare is in making money from participating and its as lame as hosting an ad suppoted entry on Gamejolt.
It's fairly easy to exploit though, but I guess simulating a crypto market is pretty tough. Great job!

I think this just needs more meat on its bones, e.g. have some random news events that affect the price, make it multiplayer, have different people giving predictions and you need to figure out which ones to follow, multiple coins and you have to pick the good from the trash. I realise these ideas would all take more time to implement but the game is too simple, as is.
Also, Buy/Sell ALL buttons would be handy. Being able to name your coins (and the automatic shortening) was cool.
It would've been nice if I was allowed to short, but I guess it is trading currency and not trading CFCs or something.
Nice job. Good presentation.
