Platformer Card game. In a hurry, i put more info letter on, but first the game

*Edit

So I was in a hurry and don't put even a image for my entry. So please, forgive me for that 🙏: to little, to late 😢. So this is a platformer card game, use the cards to move you're character. You had basic cards and special ones, the special ones can't be re shuffle, so be smart on how to use it. The goal of this game it's make a fluity card game. You win the test's by reach the scientis. There not scores or any other objective (maybe after the JAM). Please reate this game and forgive me if I was clunky.

PD: So i was in a hurry, so use a icon for the graphic's of test mechanic's. So the icon of the game it's a duck. It's no a "A game about ducks"... But i gonna leave in that way, it's funny.

Great game! Is a really interesting concept. I didn't understand how to time the cards well at the beginning but after I understood I really enjoyed the game. Loved the animations and the music. Great work!!

@Karai17 indeed you broke it XD. @Waraiko just press the focus card early, so the player start to glow and he gonna pass automatic the obstacle. @alhvi & @Yokimbo Thanks for playing.

Yea i got stuck a few times on that part, but still a fun game. I would try moving the location of the ui as I often found myself paying attention to that rather than the character. Maybe have them right under the player? Check out our first entry when you have the chance! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/infinite-typer

I really liked the art and the music. The overall idea was nice, but I had some problems getting the cards to even start the level. I was at the start of the second level and I went through 15 cards and never got a move left card, so I couldn't even start. Then I started over and reread that I could hit S to reshuffle the cards and it started to make more sense.

Overall I feel like this was more of a strategy game where you prepare your deck in advance and then use it to get through the course.

When you right click on a card does it give you a new one? It seemed like 90% of the cards I got were ups and downs. The lefts and rights were few and far between.

The sprites have a lot of character and I liked the mood you created. Good job!

Really nice graphics and good background music. Took awhile to master the mechanics, but I like the idea of an "endless runner" kind of game like this with the concept of needing to save up moves and use them at the right time. The part that requires four jumps in a row was really tricky because you had to reveal more cards while trying to time the jumps. Would have been nice to have keyboard controls to pick and use cards instead of just the mouse.

Good job. The artwork was really good with the animations. The gameplay was a creative idea but got a little frustrating because of how hard it would be to get the right card sometimes especially at sections you hadn't done yet on levels where you already completed a hard obstacle. Maybe this could be fixed by some sort of way to pause the movement. It was satisfying to make multiple moves and get through an area all at once. The cards seemed to be kind of slow to respond at times which made a game that relies so much on timing fairly difficult.

Nice idea, but improvement potential in the implementation of the idea... Clicking the cards was somehow slow. Especially in level which require timing, having keyboard shortcuts would have helped a lot. The manual re-drawing of cards felt a bit pointless. There is no reason for the player to not reveal flipped cards instantly , so you should probably:
- give the player a reason for it (e.g. make the character slower with more revealed cards / gain a higher score in the end the fewer cards the player revealed) **or**
- reveal cards instantly when discarding old cards

I really liked the graphics style / character animations and the music
