Dual-Threat Quarterback by Jack Hipson
This is my first Ludum Dare and I am happy that I finished something. The game isn't perfect but it's complete.
Dual-Threat Quarterback is an American football based stealth game. You play as the quarterback of the blue team. There are 4 levels for the 4 quarters in football. If you carry the ball into the end zone you get a touchdown worth 7 points and if you throw it in you get a field goal worth 3. If you get within the line of sight of one of the defenders on the red team they will dash at you, intercept the ball, and score a touchdown for their team. To counter this you can attempt to stay out of their line of sight or throw the football at them to stun them. At the end of the 4 quarters, the team with the most points wins. Try to get a perfect score of 28 points!
Hint: try luring defenders away from their position and quickly take them out with the football.
I wrote the code in Java using Libgdx without any base code. I made the music and sound effects in FL Studio, and the art in Photoshop.
To play, download and extract the zip file and run the .jar file.
DO NOT RESIZE THE WINDOW IT BREAKS THE THROWING MECHANIC!!!

Fix speed of enemies and it will be nice game!
I agree enemies are a bit fast, nonetheless, good job

With regards to complaints about enemy speed - I actually think you got this one spot on. Too slow and the game would be far too easy. I think people don't get that you can knock out a lot of them without ever getting their attention.
The second level might be a bit unfair on the first play-thru but it's actually not bad when you know what to expect. I think it's a good way to make people play more than once :)
Re: Some other issues mentioned - I have never had enemies go thru walls. The ball always went where I clicked.
Two Thumbs Up from me!
Only feedback would have been to have a level/game restart so I can quickly restart. Whenever I got caught my fastest option was to close and reopen the game. Took me 6 or 7 tries to get a perfect game, which i think is just the right level of difficulty for a game like this in a game jam.
Fantastic work and keep it up. :D
