Only the best most skilled players can even attempt to go for the title of "Lord Basketball". Even trying will get you stardom, and with that... fans! and the more fans you get... well... you know the rest.

Step up to the line as one of seven players attempting to go for the title of Lord Basketball. Make ten shots IN A ROW to win the title. Turn on "Forgiving Mode" to give yourself extra help if you need it.

Mouse and Keyboard supported as well as gamepad.

UPDATE: 13:25pm GMT 4/12 - Bug fixed with fail condition triggering and erroneous sprite removed from court to fix collision issues. Corrupt texture for "Tom Baller" fixed and sound properly triggering now for shot and reset. V1.0 uploaded in 32 and 64bit versions. Itch.io link added.

Neat game! I really enjoyed the audio and the graphics. I will admit, I needed to turn on forgiving mode to beat it, but it was quite fun. I did notice that it seemed there was a bit of variability in where the ball was thrown left and right, was this intentional? Overall, nice job.

Hi @bookworm31, yes it was intentional! :D The original idea was that aiming would get harder as the crowd grew, but couldn't balance the variable with the time I had left so just left it at the crowd throwing things and the audio pressure. Thanks for playing!

Interesting Game, but it's extremely hard! Waitingtime for the ball to return was kind of long.
Liked the style of the game and the Crowd throwing stuff, but the gameplay itself was a bit samey overall

Overall the game is good, but I found the aiming too unforgiven. But the game is pretty and the music is really good.

That ending was epic! The music and animations really helped give this a fun mood.

The aiming mechanic felt kinda pointless since you really only had to aim once in the beginning, and then just keep trying to hit the same spot on the meter 10 times in a row without moving the mouse.

I liked it though. Great job!

Sadly the controls are inverted so it was very unusual for me. Apart from that I really like the audio and the art for the fans was great aswell. Could use bit more gameplay depth tho.

Nice work Gnap! I got so many hoops, it was insane. Disappointed that I didn't make the credits, I'll have to try harder next jam!

Great entry! The idea is solid, though I did feel like getting a basket was waaaaay too hard (forgiving mode probably should have been the default, haha).

The crowd throwing things was the best idea in this imo; it would have been nice to see that part emphasised more with even more ridiculous amounts of increasingly distracting objects being thrown.

A-MAZING!!! I absolutely love this game AND I can play as Catmoo of the Brighton Suns! I love the different excuses that appear when you can't make your first shot, the awkward cough as a few fans watch you try and make the shot, and the absolutely defeating end when you miss! I'm not gonna lie, with forgiving mode off I could only make two shots without the crushing defeat of not being lord basketball. With forgiving mode on I could only get 9 shots due to the damn fans throwing their crap at me! Those foam hands kept hitting my ball outta the way!! Really loving this one, a real tremendous feat considering you were ill all weekend!

The phrases that appears when you fails are good, there's lot of them and it makes failure not frustrating.
You have a huge perspective problem I think. It took me long to notice that when I throw my ballon too far away, it's hitting the goal and going back to me. The camera is like, 90° rotated from the goal and it make the thing a bit unclear for the player ! =)

nice game, and a very different take on the theme. Loved the comments when you miss.

i think if you upped the speed of the game would feel better, or moved the spot you started from

i enjoyed it
