Manifold Complex is a space shooter in 3-Dimensions. Escape the complex by collecting upgrades for your ship. Watch out, security drones will become more hostile as your ship gains more upgrades.

Use wasd to move forwards and sideways and use the mouse to steer. Hold right click to turn your sideways movement into a roll.

*We opted out of the art category because the ship models were created for use on another game of ours that was abandoned and not all of the textures are our own.

It was fun but movement was very sluggish making combat and maneuvering difficult :-) Overall great job :-D

I love the flickering lights, I just wish there were more of them. Flying blind got a bit frustrating when the enemies respawned right behind. Overall, it was very fun exploring. It felt like being underwater.

I loved it! There was something very satisfying about the level design. Being able to rotate the room was awesome and the colors/lighting looked great. Fit perfectly with the game. My only nitpick is that the song/background noise was a bit grating (but that could be my personal taste). Overall, wonderful game with a lot of work put into it, that much is obvious. Great job!

Very Decent-like. Sounds are good. Fun game makes me miss Descent.

Reminds me a lot of Decent. This is one of my favorites I've played so far. Multiple side paths and the perspective made it worth a few playthoughs!
I found you can super spam your guns by mashing left mouse button and space.

I had a hard time playing because it took so long to turn. If the rotation speed was a little better the game has potential.

Great graphics, but too dark walls. Movement and rotation speed too slow.

Hi everyone, thanks for all of the kind words! We are pleased that the game reminds people of descent, that was a favorite of ours growing up. For those who find the movement speed too slow, did you happen to find the speed boost upgrade? It is actually available as the first pickup in the game if you find it. I think my biggest regret so far is that I should have had the upgraded speed as the default, and the speed upgrade would make you go very fast.

Really great atmosphere compounded by a menacing soundtrack and disorienting level design. Cool graphics. By far the best game of the jam I've played so far.

The controls are a little slow, even with the upgrade, but I'm really nitpicking here - great entry!

It's really a funny game. Both collection and weapon update are interesting .But it's too drak for me to find the way and something that I want to collect. More environment lighting or headlight would be better.

Nice atmosphere and cool graphics. Combat seems a little off, but it's really nice!

I liked the game, although there was something disorienting when introducing the third degree of freedom for rotation.

Keep up the good work!

The rotation speed is a little too low though, the scene is kinda dark, IMO it would be better if in a 3rd person perspective than a first person view.

This is an awesome game! I really love the movement mechanics, especially how there isn't ever a down - it's all zero-g and the level is designed with that in mind. Combat is very fun but I feel it isn't challenging enough. Graphics, music and SFX are all on point, 5 stars for mood.

Excellent work guys :)

Polished fun game!

The level design is good but I can't find the goal XD.

I recommend that you lock the cursor at the center of the screen because it gave me a big headache when I play with a dual monitor.

Good for exploration, it took me 1 min to get lost xD. I found fight not so fun though.
Overall it is a very great entry good job.

Cute game, the level seemed very small, like four rooms? I thought of Decent too while playing it. If there are more rooms, I did not find them.
The mouse needs to be locked too, I had to restart the game the first time because I clicked on my other monitor, as the mouse went over there.

That's unfortunate that the cursor is not locked for everyone. It was intended to be but that's how it goes with these jams I guess! It also sounds like the lighting system isn't working for everyone, I didn't get a chance to test it on lower quality settings. For those interested in where the exit is, it is through the green door in the room that you start in. You will need to find the second weapon upgrade to open it. Thanks again to everyone who played our game!

I like the mood. Even if the music is quite repetitive, I find it works with the atmosphere (especially for the purpose of a gamejam). Well done on that! I find that controls to roll is a bit hard to understand but when you get it it's ok. Finally, to me, it does not perfectly fits the theme, so I will not give you 5 stars on that :P Keep working on it, add some new features and polish it (new ennemis, new upgrades ?) and I think it could make a fun good game.

Awesome game! It reminds me of an old game called Forsaken. The music was really well done. I had a lot of fun with this one.

I like this, it's cool. One problem though, despite the colours and architecture everywhere still kind of looks the same.

Good mood. The low sensitivity of the mouse make it that I had to mak multiple swipes to turn my ship. The level is also very dark wich makes it hard to know where I am.

The mouse is weird, going by increments instead of a fluid mouvement, which kind of felt really weird.

The game looks really solid and cool, but the mouvement was too weird for me to test longer. Making a 3D shooter on a game jam is really good job though :)

Much more fun than I expected. The controls are a little awkward and could use some work (Space Engineers is a great example of good 3D Controls). Other than that it was great :D

Cool atmosphere. I wish there was a fire-rate instead of just spamming the mouse button to fire. Most games this LD had this spam firing mechanic... why? Either way, exploring was kinda fun and the game looked great. It would have been nice to move a little faster in my opinion.

Damn this game is gorgeous! I LOVE it! I would have appreciated the possibility to rotate on the y axis, some times it was confusing. Wonderful job anyway!
