Ricochette by Nathalia Hohl
Ricochette is a two-player shooter game. Play against your friends and remember... the more you shoot, the worse it is not just for your opponent, but for yourself as well.
We wanted to make an enjoyable game from a simple idea. It may seem like a normal 2-player shooting game, but the catch, that we believe make it more fun, is that you have to be careful with your own bullets, since they can damage you as well, besides bouncing on the walls.
Its our fourth game (all of them together!) and we've learned a lot, but there is of course a lot more room to improvement. The hardest part in this one was probably the keymapping inside the game (its a two-player game, so we wanted it to be really flexible on the controls).
We are considering making an AI in the future. ;]
Default controls (These keys can be changed in the CONTROLS menu):
Player 1: WASD to move Q and E to rotate SPACE to shoot
Player 2: IJKL to move U and O to rotate N to shoot

You can't spam with your bullets and you should think twice before the next shot. Nice job!
And I forgot. Game's logo reminds me of Pepsi Cola :relieved:
@monncalf, I don't believe we didn't try to shoot outside of the field while playtesting. XD And we'll definetely consider your tip about the bullets speed if it gets a new version.
@meneer-guss, if you have an alphanumeric keyboad, controls can be changed in the menu to accomodate 2 players better. But I know it's still kinda . ^^
@interpol, I confess I had the same thought after I made the logo, but decided to stick with it. :p
We're not sure we'll try to implement an online version because we have a few other projects going on, but we'll really consider it.
I feel the ship speed can be increased, nevertheless, this feels like a fun concept which has interesting mechanics.

Everything is spot on. The music, the sound, the graphics.
I feel like there needs to be a little more content perhaps. The only think is lacks is replay-ability, and singleplayer-ability. Maybe add some objects or obstacles in the game scene that would deflect bullets as well. There could be moving or stationary doesn't matter. Maybe power ups that would allows the player to shoot faster or take no damage etc.... Very good game but with a tiny more effort it could amazing!
You should also look into maybe making a single player mode were you face some basic AI.

It is fun and above all simple. Very good work ..
