I absolutely love the music in the game.

The pacing of the game is fantastic. When you start out it is a feeling of ease and as soon as you start getting 2 plants at once it becomes stressful, but not in a negative way. The first time I realized what a power up did it was super sweet to see everything go into the baskets.

Great job!

This game really hit the nail on the head for this theme. I enjoyed the music and atmosphere, but that quickly turned to frantically trying to get those critters into their baskets. The leaderboards are a great touch, and made me want to play again and again.

This was a really run game. Got the current highscore, looking forward to challengers. Having a high score mechanic linked with ludum was genius

A good game! The mechanic is solid and the music is excellent.

A critique: for a game that's about precise clicking, there's a lot of visual noise going on: it's hard to quickly pick up the right critter when the entire area is covered with particles from the last one.

All in all, though, an impressive game. Good job!

The game looks amazing, the music fits nicely and gets intense when you are in trouble which is great. The built-in tutorial is perfect. I had the most fun throwing critters around instead of placing them more toughtfully. :D

Amazing game. Nails the theme right on the head! At first it started chill but it got real extremely fast and by the end I was seriously stressed out. Good job!

This game starts with the best tutorial I've seen for now in this Ludum! The whole gameplay is explained in 2 secs before starting the game, and it's on! Cute graphics, the cutest sound design and a overwhelming amount of cute buddies falling to be distributed :)

Great job! The high-score system makes everything even cooler!

This is a really addictive game, and absolutely chaotic once it starts spiralling out of control! Perfect take on the theme, and the visuals are really nice. The high score feature really gives it that "just one more game" feeling. A few comments on game play though - sometimes when the critters are overlaid slightly on each other, you can pick up two at once, maybe even three. I don't know if that's intentional, but it feels like a bit of an interruption to the game flow to try and interpret what goes where, so I'd suggest limiting it to just one at a time. Similarly, when flicking away squids it seems like it's also possible to flick away underlaying critters.
Apart from that it feels like a very polished game, and very fun! Nicely done.

The scoreboard didn't work on webGL - we settled for the 8mb download instead, we had to sacrifice one or the other =(

-834.... It was FAR too late before I realized there was a penalty for slapping everything away. It scales pretty well and didn't leave me bored. It definitely got pretty frantic towards the end. Great graphics and excellent execution on a simple concept!

This is so pretty and also surprisingly brutal. "The More You Have, The Worse It Gets" indeed. XD

I wish it was possible to scoop up mass numbers of critters into the right basket - maybe a mechanic where adjacent critters of the same type will stick together?

I love those funny sound effects and lovely animations, the idea is amazing.
Sometimes I found it difficult to choose the object I want to pick or I click one but wipe out more, but still pretty good experience when playing.

Spent like two hours trying to climb the leaderboard! Fun mechanic and nice concept! I think it would be better to explain how combos work, at first I thought I had to drop the same critters to make a combo. Also drop a little more powerups ha!

Really impressive game. The most notable thing is the polish. The art looks good, the physics feels good, and the sounds are very well done. Something just felt really good about getting big combos and hearing that pitch shoot way high, that was probably the main reason I kept on playing.

Gameplay-wise, at first when I played I considered it a clicking accuracy game so I was like "oh an Osu-ish game, this should be fun". After things piled up though, I finally realized mashing was the only effective tactic left for me so I just barreled through all the ink and controlled the pile with that + slapping things. It was a pretty unique experience and can only get better with more juice. Nice game, guys.

I uninstalled avast, and played your game after the stream. Which is a real shame, because your game was really well done! I'll have to go back and play it again on stream sometime. Well Done Burgy... Bungee... Bunny... Ah you know what I mean.

Really nice and polished game! It was quite fun to play, although it was giving me some hand pain. ;)
I liked the audio and the graphics, which give the game a nice and joyful atmosphere. :)

Oh, and on a side note, I like how all your three games on this LDjam site alliterate with C's. ^^

@saramartins that's super weird!

I'll try to see if I can track it down tonight, it must be a rare error because nobody else has been lucky enough to find it like you did.

Thanks for trying, I'll come check out your entry tonight anyhow!

A cute and friendly little game. The game is really well made, and both the music and graphics is good. For me personally the game idea was a bit boring. But overall a good game. Well done.

Hey great game! Thanks for letting me stream it last night!

It was great fun sorting out those bugs - You saw how stressed I was on stream :yum: I think you got what you wanted!

Adding the two mechanics of squashing and sorting was great - Although I think quite taxing when you try and squash the tree jellyfish and the other bugs get in the way lowering score, maybe make them instead scurry away with a slap and limit the amount you can do?

Things I would add to make the game more fun would be more powerups - I loved the barrel that came down and sucked them in but maybe another powerup that squashes jellies and one that groups a colour (all yellow, all flying dudes) together to a point of my choosing would make life abit easier for the common player and even make it abit more fun for the elite!

Thanks again! Great work!! :yum:

I can't say I was the best at this game, but I really enjoyed it and thought it was fantastic. The gameplay makes sense and was simple, which worked really well in your favour. The graphics were stunning, and I love how cute everything looked. I felt really sad when the flower got eaten. The powerups worked well, although I would have liked more variety, and the music fitted in with the general aesthetic flawlessly. My one complaint is that when right clicking, what would happen more often than not is that I would slap a general critter who got in the way, or simply also got hit due to the hitbox. I felt I was unfairly punished for that. Other than that great game, well done

Hey there @burgee, managed to get it to work on another computer! Funny game, although it got to a point where I was just doing the same, separating the creatures and didn't feel there was a fast enough progression. At that point I started slapping everything just for the fun of it and managed to get -1024 points... dunno if it was supposed to be able to get negative points

The art was just so cute, and the sounds too! Cuteness overload! Also, online rankings? Great work!

Maybe needs some more power-ups, but other than that it's a really solid entry, great work. Congratulations :)
