Apostle: Vanguard by Shess
"The prototype Apostle unit is ready. It may become our first beacon of hope in this endless nightmare... or turn out to be something even worse than that, if we allow it to".

Story: blood-starved bio-mechanical beasts are approaching. Humanity, almost too tired to struggle, attempts a final push with a makeshift war mech. Either that, or slow and inevitable extinction under the Tyrants' relentless assault.
A small crew is fighting its way towards the Tyrant Vexillary, tearing down the last remnants of their own civilization. A necessary sacrifice, but none the less painful.
They seek your help, and your judgement.
- Build your prototype fighting unit on the go.
- Battle the Tyrants and their fearsome leader.
- Salvage anything you can find out there.
- Protect humanity... at all costs.
- Play in browser (full HD support)
Controls: mouse only. Left-click to select, build and use abilities, right-click to move and attack, middle-click to control the camera both in the world and on the grid.

Thank you for your suggestion, we'll provide an alternative link to itch.io right away!
I am getting to work on it right away~
Great to see that you're still working on stuff @Shess.
Please let me know if there is anything confusing still!
So to the devs... Start reviewing other games so your EXCELLENT game gets more exposure. I see you got 0 karma for feedback given. The more games you review yourself, the more your game will receive ratings from others.
And i beg you to do so because this game DESERVES so much more exposure ! WELL DONE, now start reviewing games ! :)
I was also thinking of making some of the functions automated so they don't require as much micro-management. Anyway, that was a valuable lesson!
Playing it on the Itch page itself, I did find it annoying when panning the camera, my mouse kept scrolling the Webpage, but the Stand alone version removes that problem entirely.
I made a complete mess of my first few attempts, but got a little further once I found the "?" menu. The main issue I had was a lack of resources; the best way I could find to build anything early on was to start destroying buildings, and my mission to protect humanity went straight out the window . My only other suggestion would be to let the user zoom in and out (on both maps) -- that would have helped me to find the Cargo Hold and the enemies firing missiles more quickly.
Still, kudos! It's obvious that with just a bit more work on UI to make it less confusing, you have a beautiful game on your hands.
I also felt that it could really have used a bit more of a tutorial. I basically played until I died because I didn't realize that I had to actually tell the builder units to go to the structures I had placed and I just wondered why I couldn't do anything. But that took forever to figure out because of the right click issue. It could be in the conversation in the lower right (which I liked, by the way.) Basically I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to do anything in the build section.
Also the Refinery just disappeared with out any kind of explanation in each playthrough.
The music fits really well, and I love the mood the story, art, and sound combine to make. Really well done.
Refinery disappearance sounds troublesome, we'll look into it!
But until then, huge respect to everyone out there bravely figuring out things on their own!
Like others say, it's a bit hard to learn and could be some nice QoL improvements like zooming but overall you've got heaps done in the limited timeframe!
It's Great game. I also have same problem as @bryceltaylor
But it's one of the best polished game.
Great gameplay also well mixed game genres
Good job!
Graphics are stunning! The sheer amount of art is incredibly impressive, even more so due to it's very high quality, easy 5 stars  Great job all around, if that wasn't already obvious.
