Fun game. Level 3 was kind of a pain.

I agree with BitJester, I just quit at level 3. The game got pretty dull, with just a lot of aimless wandering around and backtracking

@bitjester-media @sky I know, originally, the whole game was supposed to be like that, but it would have taken too long to make and also would have been too annoying.

I beat it. Level 3 took me forever but I got it :).

There are a lot of things that can be improved in this game. For example, The controls are glitchy and unresponsive sometimes. They don't even recognize diagonal movement.

Ultimately, the game didn't really keep my attention. Walking around and reading text with no choices or challenges isn't really compelling to me. Maybe i'm just weird.

I hope you keep working on this though. I would love to see it improved!

@bodaciouslycrazy I will Improve it after I get the results. I have some ideas for how to improve it.

The camera is perhaps a little too zoomed in, which combined with the otherwise so-so movespeed means its more of a chore than fun to go through the levels (especially the last one). Perhaps speed the ship up a bit? Or maybe add more interactive items in dead ends.

The concept was interesting, but it was kind of annoying with the way the ship would get stuck to walls. Level 3 also lacked a sense of direction, and I was just wandering for a while. Not bad, but I'd like some music if I'm going to be wandering

@nardandas I don't think you would want to hear my Music... There is a reason I did not include it in the Game (It is not good)

Woot! I finished! I'm not sure that a maze and story telling are incompatible...I think I've played adventure games that were both. Nevertheless, congrats on finishing 3 levels of a working game in 48 hours! I agree about the camera seeming zoomed out. It also took me a while to realize that your WASD is not like the MMOs that I play and it was literal to the screen and not relative to me as the spaceship (if it were, w would always mean "forward", "s" would mean backup). Once I got that it was literal, I was able to get around quite well. It might be easier to catch on to this if you had some kind of circular spaceship that didn't have an obvious nose to it. I would have preferred "space" to interact so that it was a completely one-handed game, a score or progress indicator would be nice, and a little congrats at the end is always satisfying. Anyway, thanks for the game!

I really enjoyed the way the ship moves around. It was fun to play. I think you typeface was a bit too small to read. Graphics were pretty cool. Good job!

I think you really captured the mood nicely! Having such a stark environment really worked well with the story. I think maybe a larger field of view, or some sort of map, would help to augment 'random' wandering around.

Pretty neat idea! kind of a mundane game, but hey, combining two incompatible genres is hard, and you did it. I agree with most of the complaints already written, accept i feel like the ship halting when touching a wall helped with getting through tight spaces. I think the flame behind the ship was really pretty, and the text boxes and font were really pleasing to the eye. Nice work!

Concept is interesting but the game itself a bit linear for me.

Just noticed some glitches with tiles sometimes (pixel bleeding on your tileset could do the trick ;-) )

I struggled to get through level 3, it seemed like the game was testing my patience rather than any skills I had, and since there was so little to interact with, I ended up just giving up. The number one thing that would've improved this game for me would've been an option letting me press enter to have all the text show up at once. I like being able to control how quickly the text appears, but when I pressed enter, I ended up skipping the writing altogether, so I didn't actually know what was going on.

An interesting concept, though it could have been expanded further by perhaps having multiple choice options with the logs. Many different genres have stories in them! The game got pretty confusing in the 3rd maze, so perhaps making it a little easier for players to find there way around, or adding enemies for the player to fight could make it more interesting. Good job on the entry, keep making games!
