The experiment of an alchimist went wrong and now he have to defend hisself against the spawns of hell. But his gun is pretty complicated and even reloading is a task for itself. With magic crystals the Gun can be upgraded to become more powerfull. Puzzlegun is a routhless combinaton of Shooter and Puzzler, that will challenge your puzzler-, shooter- and time-management skill.

Controls:

WASD-Movement Left Mouse: Fire R: Reload Space: Upgrade Weapon

Clearing the pieces of your gun will delete them.

Have fun and post us your highscore and we will visit your game aswell.

Seems fun! A little ways in it let me walk right off the edge and then I couldn't play which is probably just a bug (or if that happens the player should be killed / respawned or something).

My initial thoughts:
- Ooh nice textures
- This is pretty polished. Pew pew!
- Hey I wonder why they call it puzzle g- OH CHRIST.

The mechanics worked well together, I would've liked a couple of powerups to even the score a bit - maybe with different puzzles? Like a screen clearing bomb with a match 3 game or something.

I think you're onto something here, idea-wise. Keep working at it!

Graphics and the music are really good and they match perfectly, nice pick ! I love the feel of rush when you have to reload the gun, a little bit repetitive but fun !

Never had I expected a puzzle game would have me going "CRAP CRAP CRAP". I really enjoyed this. That little bit of stress to just reload the gun by dragging shapes adds a lot more than one would expect. The close quarters combat with the ever growing waves of hell spawn was enough to keep you on edge to make sure you positioned yourself right to reload safely. I loved it. Well done!

High score was 848 btw.

Here are my thoughts:

**Good**

Models are quite impressive, and I was actually surprised to see more than one tiered monster

Sound effects are good, and the music fits the feel of the game well too

The scene is set up well. The fog is a nice effect, and a good shortcut to avoid having to make models for the ground ;)

**Improvements**

It was hard to tell that the red gave health my initial time playing through. Would suggest making it clearer somehow

The sound balance was a bit off. Thought that the music should be turned down to support the action sound effects better

Not sure if you're supposed to walk in the middle, but not have that happen may be better

The game was a little too easy for me. I got to around 7000 and felt the difficulty had become stagnant, and that I would continue to play forever

Allow the player to exit the puzzle in case they click it when they're in a bad spot. I hit R in a couple bad spots and took damage

**Final thoughts**

Very good overall! I think it will do well in ranking. If you are going to polish it for later, add more puzzles, and allow the gun configuration to flip shapes. See you in the next jam

A nice solid game, well done! I liked the look of it, and I've been told there are sounds but I didn't have sound on at the time. You managed to fit the puzzle elements in surprisingly well, considering how massively different your two genres are. If you decide to continue working on this, one thing I might suggest is adding hotkeys of some kind to the reloading puzzle; clicking and dragging feels very cumbersome, and adding hotkeys could make it a lot smoother for players that can get good enough at it to use them.
Great game though!

Really enjoying those graphics, looking quite nice - though I'm not as sure about the hole in the middle.
You might want to look at slowing down animations when in the reload and upgrade menus, it looks weird to see wings flapping about with enemies that barely crawl towards you.

The reload and upgrade mechanics are quite frankly hilarious - and something I can most definitely see a wizard doing, perhaps give some way of seeing through the dialog though, so that you can avoid walking through monsters while reloading / tinkering.

hey this was pretty good. Standing in middle you can not fall through floor and monsters could not get you. so i just stood there the whole time. overall not bad.

This was really fun!
It could've done with a slightly larger area, but overall quite enjoyable!

Really liked it! Played it for a while, after upgrading my gun and then at the 5k points I started wondering that this is perhaps maybe too easy? Seemed like the mobs didn't follow me anymore that actively? Anyways decided to fool around and play it till I got score 13370 just for funs :D
Good job!

I don't know why there is the hole in the middle of the scene. Nice music :)

Wow! This is a really good mix. I love the atmosphere and the music matches perfectly. Perhaps I'd reduced the match puzzle UI (or set a little alpha) to see the action behind, it can become more stressful to see the monster reached the player directly. Great job everyone! :D

Fun game! Sounds like Gears of War mixed with Doom and a children toy :D I really liked the enemies and music, although I would have liked some graphics when bullets impact any foe, but overall it definitely looked good. However, wow, it is really difficult and demanding xD

Played the WebGL version. No puzzle items worked. Otherwise it seemed well put together.

At first I thought that the reloading puzzle was too simple, but the longer I played the more glad I was that it wasn't _too_ taxing. This is a really good idea, and really innovative; with a little more variation in the puzzles (for different weapons, maybe?) it'd be a game I could see myself spending a lot of time with.
