This game was pretty interesting and unique. Very simple idea of eat as much food as you can without getting killed. Good job!

Cute graphics! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation [video series](https://youtu.be/GZJJwwdwpaQ), if you’d like to take a look :)

Nice fun little game. I was a little confused the first time I made it all the way across since the rat just went off screen. Thought there was going to be a second level, and that the game bugged out, so I restarted. Then I realized you're supposed to be going back again, as new food seemed to spawn.

Nice job.

@stupidpawn, not a bad entry, had a laugh at the mire of rat corpses littering the street. Made me hungry for hotdogs!

hey, I liked this game, especially the music that made me change my vision of the game: I then felt sad for these poor rats in a world of heartless giants. Finally an emotial experience for me.

Really different game that played well some nice touches with leaving all my smashed and burned corpses all over the ground for each try and a different sound when the evil stompy giants stepped on a vent. Short but fun!

Great game! Love the concept and fantastic execution. Easy to pick up- would love to see a next gen version with updated graphics and more levels; rat kings, catchers, and laboratories!

Haha! This was fun :-) I got stomped so many times - and saw all my dead former selves lying where they died too. Poor rats... Pretty unique game - nice work!

For some reason when I went full screen my screen went black and I couldn't recover from it, I had to reboot my pc. But onto the game...

Loved the art and the sound effects. Nice detail on the different sound effects when they step on the vent. I found it maybe a little too easy and was expecting some more story. I saw the name and the art and got ready for a beautiful pixel art story starring a rat, but I got a beautiful pixel art avoid feet simulator game about a rat. Amazing work for 2 days though even if it wasn't Ratatouie 2.

It was depressing to see how the people just killed all the rats. The pixel art was well made and the sound effects were convincing.

Very unique game, the mood was great.
Solid entry there.

A different take on the theme, it remembers a bit my entry, but in mine you are the feet, haha. It's very hard (not complaining, it felt just right) and I think that you've done a great choice in making the consumables taking some time to actually score and disappear. Also, leaving the dead rat's corpses in there was another cool idea. Poor little rats. Good art and audio was ok, I guess?

Congrats and great job!

Poor litlle creatures. A good entry which fits with the theme. Music is really good. I assume that with more time you could do something really interesting. I had fun playing it. Thank you ++

I liked it! The cue for the steps is good, the music is moody, the graphics are decent. I really loved the kind of persistent gameworld, where you see your old corpses. Reaching the end of the level is was confusing for me at first. Going back is not really rewarding for reaching the end, but rather demotivating, as in "ok you did it, now go back to do the same again". But i totally understand that in this small time frame, not much more could have been done. Good work :)

Nice game! I quite liked the concept of trying to be a rat and trying to get food and such.

**What you did well**

Nice graphics, atmosphere and audio. The music really suited this kind of game. I liked the idea of having different colours for each person.

**What you could improve on**

The game is titled "A Rat's Story" but there was not much of a story element there. I also got to a point in the game where the rat went off screen and I assume that was the end of the game but it wasn't very clear.

But overall, nice game and great concept.

Cool game. I understand that you couldn't add more things to do, because of the time pressure, but my advice to you is that if you add more stuff you can do there now (like fighting other rats or something) it would be "full-time" high quality arcade game. Graphics were impressive, and overall, fun game, but not for a long time, but that is what LD is all about right? - short games :)

Fun little game! Poor rats, I was so bad at this so they kept dying all over the street. Tiny little nitpick about graphics: assets are in different resolutions which makes some sprites look really unfinished. Also some colors were really hard on eyes. Apart from that everything worked well and I enjoyed playing this.
