Unpowerer by Garywiss
The year is 2XXX,
You control a bounty hunter on a distant planet and you must beat the "Unpowerer", a dangerous character who have "the great power"
The game is unpolished and unfinished, there is no sound sadly, i ran out of time and energy to put them.
I hope you enjoy the concept of this game :) .
Control :
- X: Jump
- C: Shoot
- Hold C: Charge your shoot
- V: Missile

The idea is great : first I found it very easy but then I understand the concept and the last battle wasn't easy.
A few things could really make the game shine :
- the jump physic is a bit floaty
- there is no invulnerability frame
- the charge attack of the boss is not telegraphed, making it a bit frustrating
With those little changes, and sounds :) this could be a really cool Metroid style game.
Well done.
The boss (with a great sprite) have many patterns, it's cool !
It lacks a few animations on sprites, sounds and a better map to be a strong entry but well done ^^
I think you have lack of time but it's a good start !
Too bad for the slippy control :/ maybe increase the "Gravity" of the input in the Unity project setting.
By the way the idea of remove power up is super cool, it's like a reverse Megaman. I love the concept!
Good works!
Well done anyway! A really fun game.
PS: Thank you so much for not using the z key for controls! :)
Also, every time you win from a boss, your power gets heavily chopped up, a less intense chopping would be better here, as seeing your power heavily drained on the second boss kinda feels a bit frustrating. :/
The visuals are nice and really 8-bit like, but more animations would make the game more appealing. If you polish this project, control-wise and balance it a bit, you have a nice start already! ;)
Good luck, good work and keep making! :D
