Tetris Escape! by Ninjascribble
Blobby is trapped! Avoid the falling blocks, or use them to build a path to the exit. The only way out is up!
Play it now! (hosted on github.io)
Tetris Escape combines the classic puzzle game with some self-generated platforming goodness. We built it for the browser using PhaserJS, Aseprite, and Chiptone.

Take-aways
What went well
- Simple-enough concept to get it done over the weekend
- Successfully married tile-based and physics-based movement
- First time using Aseprite, and I'm already sold!
What could have gone better
- I really wanted to make it so that full rows of blocks would disappear, but we just ran out of time
- Some collision detection wonk, especially when rotating blocks
- No win condition
Overall, pretty happy with the entry. Might spend some time tweaking collision mechanics over the next few weeks, but it feels OK for a weekend jam.
