Nice ! How did you do the atmosphere effect around the planets ?

For the atmosphere effect, I can do a tutorial if there's enough interest. Stay tuned: https://twitter.com/MattWoelk

This was a really fun game, especially with a controller! Here's the quick rundown of my thoughts:

PROS
- Very smooth movement and camera
- Lack of gravity and air resistance makes for a very unique flight sim game
- Lighting and the atmosphere effect is really cool
- Music is nice and adds to the mood

CONS
- Encountered a glitch (?) where you get stuck on planets after crashing into them too often
- Collecting is difficult, hitboxes on the cubes might need adjusting? (Though it might just be me being bad at the game haha)

For full criticism and breakdown of ranking, as well as candid reactions to gameplay, do check out the video~

Fun game! The controls were a bit difficult at first but I got better with them after some practice (I was using an XBox 360 controller). At first I tried to fly along the surface of the planets to pick up the cubes which I found almost impossible. A better strategy for me was to dive down at them from space.

Great graphics and audio and the game had a nice atmosphere (no pun intended). I enjoyed flying through space and looking at all the different planets. I eventually managed to get all the cubes:

The game was really fun! I too k me a while to get used to the controls since you didn't have a tutorial for keyboard uses, but it was still fun to play.

@jerm Thanks for playing and beating the whole game! I think you are the first person in existence to have done so! You win the prize of my admiration!

Controls are a bit tough to work with, but the game looks great. Depth is really hard to judge, so I'd suggest making the collider on the collectible objects bigger than the visual mesh; I know that they're already friggin' enormous, but the player moves fast and the controls are touchy, so it's easy to fly right past one you thought you were close enough to touch!

Really fun game to play ! I really liked what you did with the simple and colored graphics.

Controls feel as though they would have been intuitive on a controller (good suggestion!) but I was pleased to see keyboard support so I could get a feel for the game. I really enjoyed the atmospheric music: calming and not repetitive. I struggled to maneuver through the system though. With the large distance between objects, you end up moving deceptively fast, and there is little forgiveness when missing a collectibles (I would echo the suggestion to increase the size of the collider there).

I also somehow got stuck inside a planet in my attempts to turn around for a missed collectible, and was unable to escape.

Great mood and feel. Visuals and music were both pleasant and relaxing. I'd love to see this after another pass with attention to game-feel!

Did anyone say No Man's Sky yet?
I liked overall, space travelling is a genre I definitely like. However, I felt the controls where a bit weird (uncomfortable maybe, I played with a keyboard, though) and it sadly ruined the experience a bit.

Again, I like this game, but you should fix those controls.

Please, consider rating our game if you have some time: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/tomorrow-or-when-the-world-is-not-bigger-than-a-house
Thanks a lot!
