I'm confused on the Amazon mechanic, there was never enough time to ever meet the requirement.
Lots of polish on this game, but I didn't really see how the theme worked in this very well.
I do hope ya'll Jam again for GGJ and LD41, like, seriously, CRAZY levels of polish here!
I was a bit confused with the mamazon (loved the sound hahaha) "requirement" as other people is saying but I realized that I was getting boxes with each rabbit. I guess that the 5 is the max number in each mamazon ship.
The only thing is... I was burning the rabbits but not fast enough. I was losing power and I don't know how can I be faster.
Great game!
BIIIIIG GG to all of you ! :-D the result is quite amazing for a game jam...
Go check our game here ;-) : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/the-darkest-light
-I giggled at the Mamazon sound.
-The difficulty level made it seem completely impossible to use 5 bunnies on the Mamazon ship before it vanished, and impossible to refuel the engine consistently even if I devoted all my attention to it.
-Good graphics and sound for such a quick project.
-The controls were tough to use, making the game harder than it would have been with keyboard.
I really loved the art-style (that screen title and menu, omg!) and the audio is top-notch. I think it is impossible to fill the mamazon ship with bunnies though (very funny audio for that ship by the way ^^), and it is hard to get to the engine in time. I ended up busted even if the cops seemed to be light years behind me on the indicator, so...? I also didn't truly get how more bunnies made things worse (apart from destroying their "cage"?)
Overall, great job for making this game. It looks and sounds terrific, so congrats!
We knew the game was very difficult from the start with the controls and how the difficulty curve would be spiking really early during play, but we went for it anyway... We kinda eyeballed the tuning on this one, but next time we'll do better !
Also, another mistake we've made is putting what you see as an objective on the *Mamazon* ship, where we wanted to show you the maximum amount of bunnies you could trade (but this is useless information since, unless you find a way to cheat, you can't fill the ship). But with your feedback, I think it could've been a real side objective for the game !
Thank you all for playing ! And if you like the art and sounds, be sure to check out our artists portfolios and other projects !
