This is quite the E P I C game. Collect music disks to escape the heccin place! (I took the theme quite literally c;)

Song Credits - I'd suggest waiting until after you play the game to look at this due to it spoiling the game a bit. You can find these on the Gamejolt/Itch.io pages.

I'm not entirely sure if I should be enabling rating audio but I did try to transform the music for the game. If you don't feel like I deserve an audio rating then just don't rate it in that category.

I love this! The controls were great and the obstacles were fun. I was also a huge fan of the art style.
If I were to give any feedback, it would be that I would love the ability to do epic drifts around corners to enable true mastery.

What did I just play. I even decided that I needed to complete it, which I did.

The sounds seemed to give up after a while and there are some spikes that don't kill you over to the right of the map.

Otherwise I'm not really sure what to say... That was an experience to say the least.

I gave up on 12/15. It is meta, its literally worse the more i collect. I knew something is wrong when i heard the :cucumber:

Nice game! If only it wasn't so straining on my eyes because of the size of the canvas! I found the music actually amusing and fitting the game theme.

Nice explosion effect (art and sound). I liked the fact that the audio stops for one second when you pick-up a disk. The game looks promising but there are still a lot of bugs in the collision detection (or is it a 3d-pseudo perspective effect) with the moving obstacles. Also the car is too small to see properly where it's going even more with flashy background colors. Controls have too much inertia. I don't understand your take of the theme, is it just making it more and more unbearable as you pick up some disc? Sorry for being harsh.

@papacheech Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.

@wevel Thank you for putting up with that long enough to complete it! About the spikes, they don't make you blow up on impact. You have to be on top of them when they come up in order for them to hurt you.

@glock00 Yeah... I probably should have made it a little bigger. I think I'm going to go back and make a windows version that has a re sizable screen. Thanks for the feedback.

@gistnoesis Yes, that is exactly my take on the theme. The game does use pseudo 3D so that's probably why it seems like the collisions are weird. I definitely agree with you on the game size. I probably should have made it bigger...

Yeah, I tested the spikes and sat on them for a bit and I didn't die.

@wevel hmm, that's weird. Maybe it's because you were in an area where the spikes didn't hit you? I made it so that you could go between the spikes.

I really liked this one! A really fun interpretation of the theme.

I quit the game after I collect 5 or 6 disks, music became absolutely unbearable! Which means I'll give you 5 stars in 'Theme' . On the other hand, for me it wasn't fun at all, it was annoying :(

That was really fun and I had to play it through! It took me waaay too long to realise what was going on and my ears hate you.

For me, it was just the right length, and I was laughing my way through a lot of it. Controls were really tight too, so good job.

Only issue i had was that the music seemed to cut out completely when I hit 13 disks... was that intentional? I was playing the web version in chrome.

Good game!

@ciaranw Thanks, I'm glad you liked it :D
Most of the music had that problem but I did go back and try to fix it. I guess I missed 13 when I did that.

I turned down the volume to help me cope, haha.
Cool, responsive controls! I also just loved the smoke effect from the car. I think a higher level of zoom for the game would have worked better by bringing us a bit closer to the action. Cool obstacles!

The music was both really good and really bad, and even when it was bad, it was really good. Well done.

You are the devil. What an obnoxious soundtrack... wait the more you have... worse it is...!!!

I kept playing to see how bad it was going to get. The car controlled nicely and the game was challenging enough for me to see it though to the end. I do wish everything was a bit bigger, but then again it might not have been as stressful experience.

This game was horrendous, but in a good way. Great job! >:D

Really liked it, camera could be a bit more zoomed in probably, but overall very nice work for a jam game!

Really fun game, just the perfect length for me. Audio was the standout here -- graphics are clean and easy to read, but the 3D projection made some of the controls a little weirder than I would have expected. Nicely done!

Great game! Good controls. Not super fun game mechanics but the music "treat" made me wanna collect the cds to listen to them all.

I enjoyed it enough to collect all the disks. I like how the disks added to the music and the collection was challenging enough. It could be extended in many ways and I think you should. Good work.

Nice job! There's a couple things that you could polish up, but I encourage you to keep on working on this! The emoji guy at the end made me laugh. :P
