Space Raiders by Smeax

You play as a little guy who's trying to protect the heart of his home planet. Farm wood and iron to keep the fire alive and craft ammo so you can fight against the wild creatures in the night. Are you prepared?

Good job ^^
Also, it'd be a good idea to make the interaction area of rocks/trees a bit more forgiving - since player moves really quickly, and the position to begin chopping wood or stone needs to be precise, it can get a bit frustrating, if you make n-th circle around the tiny area.
And there's a nasty bug: when using 'retry', and about 30% of the time just when loading the level on new game, it's all garbled up:

But, all that aside, since it's subject to improvement, not core issue, it's a fun idea and game looks like it has high replayability, which is very welcome. Pacing seems fitting, and it's really challenging to get far. So, overall, good job and keep developing it and smoothing it out :)
Cheers!
P.S. if not all audio is yours, please check opt-out for audio on your game page. I left you a rating, but without audio category (it's still active).
Well done :)
I went until the 10th night to see if the difficulty was growing up, but it doesn't seem so. If more ennemies were to appear every night, it can easily add some challenge to the game. Maybe limiting the weapon's range could also add some difficulty ? Because if you just stand in the middle of the map in front of the fire during the ennemies attack, the game becomes really easy. Or maybe just adding some kind of rocks on the left end and right end of the middle platform, so that you can't shoot the ennemies from there ?
The pixel art is really nice and the animations were good as well ! Great work done on it !

I'm working on it right now. Also i'll try to make the middle of the planet a bit different so you can't just stand there!
Anyway I will try this post jam version with great pleasure !
Kepp it up!
Oh I played the original version of the game.
How do you make your art, what do you use? And how large (in resolution) are these landscapes? Btw...
# Did I hear multiplayer support?
Got a bug like this when restart.

I tried jumping off the cliff for a quick restart but I don't die. Anyway, I like how it fits the theme and the feeling of constantly running around for collecting resources, investing them, and defending from enemies. You could balance the enemy spawning with the "peace spans" in a way that the difficulty increases progressively and allowing the player learn when it's a good moment to collect and when it's a good moment to invest so they can develop a strategy and take the best advantage of these activities.
Great job!
but the graphics were spot on, and I am really surprised how much you've managed to get done
Perhaps the "How to" should explain mechanics a little better and I found it impossible to get out of the heart pit once I fell into it... which was more times than I didn't haha. At first I also didn't notice the exit button, perhaps you should enable exiting from current game by pressing escape key as well.
Good work overall, keep it up!
This is not a criticism, more my own preference, but I would love to explore more of this little world you created without the stress of fighting and crafting all the time
Gun shooting felt so powerful! One small problem is that its to hard to exit heart hole, once you get in, and that there is no reaction on the monster when we shoot it.
It did take me a bit to figure out that the rocks were needed (I think some particle effect would help show that you're mining it) and the first set of felt very strong with 3 hp. Also I noticed that once one enemy gets down in the heart area it forces you to go down and spam everything with shots down there until the night ends. Those were the only complaints, overall it felt very awesome! Good job!
Some really great juice in this game and the art is really well done! I really like all the gore! If you take this further I think having the enemies give a bit of feedback like flashing when they are hit would be cool because right now it is hard to tell which enemy you are shooting when aiming at a crowd of them.
Being able to use the resources to construct a few more things like a wall or something so that you can control the flow of enemies could be cool.
One frustrating thing is not being able to attack the enemies when you are out of bullets. Maybe adding a low powered close combat attack would maybe help?
Really impressed with what you made! Especially since you were only one person! So congrats on making such a cool game!

Any feedback out be greatly appreciated!
I somehow felt that I missed way to much with my bullets, but I don't know if it was a lack of feedback or it was just my aim was too bad.
I believe a little bit of polish in audio here and there would make it perfect, but its mostly nitpicking.
I really enjoyed it. Nice!
