ELECTROLIFE 2097 by neontropics

It's a Good Vibe Photography Killer simulator!
Move with WASD / Arrow keys, Shoot with Left Mouse Button or CTRL, Jump with SPACE, rest of the controls are in the game
(I've playtested mostly on touchpad, the controls work well on that if you're on a laptop, no need for twitch reflexes!)
My take on the theme was Photography Game and Shooter

Web version: https://neontropics.itch.io/electrolife-2097-web
Web version runs nicely it seems (I recommend fullscreen), except the mouse sensitivity seemed a bit high - might look into this later if people are having issues

Tools uses:
Unity
Blender
PyxelEdit
sound effects made with bfxr
music made with Octatrack + Digitone + Waldorf Pulse 2 + Bitwig

Really enjoyed the concept.
@willowblade it's mainly simple bloom using Unity's default Post-processing stack, plus rendering the game part at a low resolution. Then there is a shader for the sky gradient and sun, and some tricks done when changing the lighting to get it to update less often for more of a retro look.
Love the genres you've picked up. The only thing I have to say is that I ended up making electrolives angry due to not knowing where they where. So maybe a map would be cool or a less mountaniesque(?) level
Congrats on the entry!
The terrain is really steep and sometimes the night is pitch black, so I couldn't see where I was walking even though a bunch of angry monsters were chasing me forever, this felt unfair.
I had to get really close to get a GVP, and I only got one because at that range the monsters get angry.
I don't know how to tell the monsters apart, or how to tell when they have a good vibe. I just clicked the camera a bunch, then when I got a picture I killed them.
It was okay but I don't think I got the experience you wanted me to have.
The world feels really big and interesting, and taking photos feels satisfying even if I fail at what I'm supposed to do!
but I could not make much progress :(
