"THE DIGGER" is a game about digging and collecting the radio active material to provide power to the village , the more you hold the ore(radio active material) the more it will damage you. Spiders will be attracted to you by the radio active material .

This is my first ludam dare it was a tough one but had fun, the game is unpolished and I had to compromise enemies AI(Scorpio's) and random level generation as I don't know yet how to achieve it properly,and I even ignore some bugs bcos I am really exhausted!

Goal

You have to collect radioactive material and take it to the cart to generate power,if you hold to many radioactive material it will damage you so you have to go come back to cart few times to collect enough ore in time without dying

The more ore you hold the more it will damage you and more spiders will be attracted to it!

CONTROLS

-> Use Aerrow keys to control the player -> Press Space bar to use the showel

**Just checked the game, it has alot of bugs sorry about that , still any feedback would be appreciated it was difficult for me bcos of 72 hours **

Fun game! The graphics were simple but effective.

It may be worth it to put the controls in your description. It took me a bit to figure out how to control, but once I did I was collecting radioactive rocks like no ones business!

Hey Man congrats on your first Ludum Dare! Pretty sweet graphics and the music was popping! Spiders are a little hard to hit when they come directly from the bottom of the screen, but overall great game!

I liked the game, the first time i spawned in there wasn't any ore... explorered around until I died. 2nd time there was tons of ore! :-)

Well done with the theme - the damaging ore is a good idea!

Bug report: Quit button didn't work and I think the ending credits music were playing along with the main music :D

That surely is a fancy miner!

Controls weren't very good, I would have expected to be able to move diagonally. Also for the action that the player does the character should have had a pick instead of a shovel.

Finally I got stuck at the bottom of the map at what seemed to be a door but somehow I couldn't get through it.

Continue honing those skills and congrats for finishing this in jam time!

@jireymendez Thanks for the feedback, their is no exit in the game when the energy bar gets full you will be proceeded to next level!

The link works now. A few things stood out to me. The shovel hit only seems to work from the side, so hitting the spider things than move in from the bottom is much more difficult that it needs to be. Also if you are putting in a score system, it's nice to see the final score in the gameover screen so you can brag about it in the comments. I liked the character art and the music. Solid first time entry.

Nice job, especially considering it's your first LD! I love the soundtrack, and the art style is fun too. I wish I could move on the x- and y-axes at the same time; I think that would make the controls feel a bit smoother. Overall nice work, hope you come back to a future jam!

The idea of the game and the implementation of theme is good. I think if you polish up the game further it will become fun to play. For example with health packs, upgrades and the ability to kill the spiders. Keep it up!
